Fireworks, slankets and cosy flannel!

Hi there, how are you? Hope you’ve had a good week?

I went to a wonderful fireworks party last night; a good friend of mine lives in the Trellick Tower an iconic 70s’ building in Notting Hill. He lives on the 29th floor so you can imagine the views across London – we were able to see all the fireworks go off, it really was amazing. He also served loads of warming scrummy, healthy food. I am doing Christianne Wolfs Body Rescue plan at the moment, so it was good to not have too much temptation.

craig nightskyIts definitely got cold hasn’t it?! Brrrr!! Have you seen the Slanket selfies that guests, viewers and presenters have been taking? Here’s mine, and if you are on twitter, just go to #slanketselfies for more.

Finally it’s the first Northern Nights flannel winter TSV of the year this Monday. Hurrah! That means it’s definitely time to get flannel on the bed and get cosy. I love this year’s TSV design. I adore stripes as you know, so that paired with cotton flannel in gorgeous restful colours is perfect. I have the blue I am going to be trying out so I will tweet some pics nearer the time, but you can also see the design here.

So, what has made you happy this last week? Here are my three:

1 – Fun at the fireworks party and meeting some lovely new people
2 – Having dinner with my friend Emma and her parents – I love spending time with them
3 – Sitting here at my desk looking out to a blue winter sky – bliss!

Would love to know yours!

See you soon! I will be on air again this Sunday for Gtech Shows and Kim & Co, then again on Monday for Northern Nights.

Always a joy to read your blog, Craig .You seem a kind and genuine person and your friends and family are lucky to have you. Not a good time of year for me with anniversaries and reminders of those no longer with us at this time of year and I was beginning to feel sorry for myself after a short illness. Most unlike me and I needed to ” get a grip “. So I’m getting out in the fresh air each day – even in the rain – and walking my socks off. You can’t beat it for raising the positivity levels and toning the tum and bum! And I have taken up your tip and look for 3 things at the end of each day that have given me pleasure. It works. Even the falling leaves from the trees in all their golden glory lift my spirits. Isn’t Nature wonderful? The best tonic out!

Hi Sue, thank you so much for you’re lovely message and your kind words. Thanks I’m lucky to have my family around, especially at this time of year so I’m very blessed. It is very sad to not have those special loved ones no longer with us. Well done for being positive, walking and getting out can help so much, the nature looks beautiful this time of year. I’m glad to hear the 3 positive daily things helps. I find it helps me all the time. Especially during stressful times. Stay in touch. Have a great week. Craig xx
