Finally, my blog photo has caught up with my fringe!

I hope the new month is treating you well. Spring is such a lovely time of year. I always enjoy seeing the new growth in nature. Little flowers starting to wake up for springtime. My favourites are daffodils. If you want to read up on why then take a look at this blog from a while back which explains why my first ever design with Clogau was centred around the glorious daff.

If you’ve been watching QVC for any length of time you may have noticed that I change my hair a lot. I’ve been blonde, brunette, redhead, bobbed haired, shoulder length, super long, in between, fringeless and, as I am today, ‘fringed’! That’s not to mention all the many extensions, fixed or clipped in from QVC, that I’ve sported! Worth checking out the Toni Brattin collection, so handy for an instant hair do!

Recently a few people have said they didn’t realise the ‘publicity shot’ photo on my blog was me. I expect this is down to me having a fringe now so we have updated that pic. Here’s a little behind the scenes time lapse of me and Vic, our photographer, trying to get the right shot.

With previous professional photos for QVC I’ve often felt I needed to look glammed up or business like but, with this one, I just wanted it to show me as ‘me’. Kind of casual and wearing one of my favourite colours. I couldn’t find a thing in my wardrobe so I cheekily had a look at fellow presenter Alex Kramer’s clothing rail! Perfect! A gorgeous jumper by Marble in exactly my shade!

As Alex wasn’t around to ask I borrowed it and then told her in an email… kind of like my daughter with me. She’ll be out with me for the day and I’ll suddenly notice she’s wearing my shoes and she’ll say ‘Oh yeah, can I borrow your shoes, Mum?’. Luckily, Alex was utterly lovely and said ‘anytime’! If she says that I might just take her up on it! It’s lovely!

Well, I hope it’s given you a giggle to see my hair through the ages on QVC and that you agree with me when I say this latest pic is just right. I won’t promise not to change my hair ever again but, at the moment, I think I’ll stick with it. I can’t tell you much this will please the photographers at work!

See you soon!

Love Catherine xx

Hi Catherine. Out of all the colours you have had your hair, I think blonde suits you best. That’s not to say you don’t look great as a brunette-you do!
Can I ask how do you get your hair so glossy and healthy looking?
It is good hair care or are you naturally blessed with gorgeous hair?
Love and best wishes, Lisa xx

hi catherine, you definitely look better with dark hair either as you have it now or with a sharp bob, blonde is not good, dark is much more sophisticated.

Hi Catherine, the picture of you as blonde in the jeans and black top, is without doubt the best looking, it really suits you, that dark colour can appear a bit solid and fake hair always looks like fake hair. You have such a pretty youthful happy face, don’t drag it down. Much love Anna x
