Hello, hope you are well?
Wow, what a fantastic weekend – did you catch any of Beauty Day? What an amazing buzz, it was only my second Beauty Day and it was so much fun and so busy!
As well as Beauty Day on Sunday I also had a fab Saturday; I spent the afternoon at Bermondsey Street Festival in London, it’s a regular event now in my calendar and I just love how the whole community around that area and many other Londoners get together for a big street party in this magical part of London.
You can see my friends and I in the photo and lovely Frankie who was making me delicious mocktails. No alcohol for me as I had pole training later in the evening and its hard enough as it is without alcohol impeding me!
Yes indeed, this will be my last blog as a 43 year old, it’s my birthday on Thursday 22nd September and I am veering towards those mid forties! Time seems to be going by so quickly but I often reflect at how lucky am I to have a job I love and family and friends I adore. Life has its ups and downs but I always try and look for the sunshine, I learned that from my wonderful mum (on that subject if you’ve never read it check out the special blog I wrote for my mum a couple of years ago).
Over the coming weeks we will be gearing up towards Armistice day and Remembrance Sunday and this Sunday (25th September) at 3pm I will be hosting the Poppy Collection. It’s another way to show your support for the work of The Royal British Legion and to all the people past and present who serve and have served our country.
It’s stunning jewellery and a third of the purchase price goes to The Royal British Legion. I have a wonderful guest who will be joining me and telling me about their work so please settle down with me this Sunday at 3pm.
Until then look after yourself, until my next blog when I will be another year older!
