Felines and fashion

Hi all

Gosh what a wet, windy and snowy, horrible weekend we have just had, and then this morning it’s blue sky as far as the eye can see! Driving up and down the M40 was awful in all the rain and snow, well, saying that, on Sunday morning, the Oxfordshire section of A roads that I take was quite beautiful, particularly going through Chipping Norton where there were few cars and the snow was falling fresh on the road creating a beautiful sight …albeit quite a slippery one so I drove with care!

I got in eventually and was thrilled to have a Joules show to kick off with as it meant I could wrap up in wellies and cosy clothes. I had done a Joules show on the Saturday too and was photobombed whilst taking pics for Instagram and Twitter by Ian whilst twiddling with lights and things backstage (as he does!) …love him! Anyhow, during the afternoon, after the show, I ordered myself a Joules top, which I rather loved and…

… hey presto, it arrived this morning, Monday! I think that’s pretty good going, don’t you? Funnily enough, I had called customer services on Sunday to see if I could change the size I ordered but it was too late already. Oddly I was quite pleased as it showed me that we are still very efficient at what we do!

So, it’s Monday, the sky is beautiful and I’ve just come back from riding Beth which was such a treat for a Monday morning! I put a pic of her in on my last blog all wrapped up in her winter rug so I thought it was time for a feline catch up on this one as I’ve been promising it for ages!

As you can see, Moonface is huge, don’t be fooled by the pic of him next to Sherbert on the stairs, his body is stretched all the way back into the corner.

Beely managed to get the pic of them on her bed however just before she took it, they were actually snuggled up together which is a complete first as usually if they are within three feet of each other, Moonface takes a flying leap onto Sherbert’s back! Complete lunatic he is!

Don’t forget to find me on social media, I’m @pipalive on Twitter and @PipaGordon on Instagram

Take care and much love as always

Pipa x

OMG! Look at that first photo of Moonface! He’s a freakin supermodel! What an unutterably gorgeous young man! Don’t tell him, he’ll be unbearable! And look at Sherbet on that Northern Nights duvet. It must be a black cat thing. We call it “doing a dragon ” when our Charlie puts his head down flat like that.

Oh it is SOOO doing a dragon isn’t it? I love that phrase and most definitely will have to borrow it! As for Moonface, he’s just brilliant and adores his tummy being rubbed too, he’s such a unique specimen …thank you for your lovely comments! xx

Morning Pipa, Your cats are gorgeous & Moonface is very similar to my parents’ last cat, Ben. My mum won a competition on Gardener’s World & she was on the programme, local news & in quite a number of newspapers & magazines – Big Ben stole the show completely. I have video of him walking around their beautiful garden with the sun shining on his glorious fur & the look on his face was priceless, I’m going to go on a search for it & get it transferred to disc. Joules is a fabulous brand, I love the designs & the quality is outstanding – happy clothes. Jo

Oh it’s a rare thing Josephine believe me! Moonface is a rotter though, he races in to the sitting room and grabs Sherbets favourite space in the evenings …makes me laugh, although we kick him off and let Sherbet take over, he is the oldest after all xx

Hi Pippa, We have had no snow down here in the West Country, plenty of rain as usual.
Wow how Moonface has grown, he is gorgeous, love the name. I saw Beth in her rug. Glad you are enjoying your riding. That is what I miss most is my Horse, use to love the Country rides early in the morning.
Like your Joules jumper, they have some nice clothes.
    Enjoy your riding.
    Love Jean x

Hi Jean, no snow at all?? Gosh I thought this year that everyone had seen a little bit. It is pretty isn’t it? Mind you, riding in the snow and ice doesn’t happen for obvious reasons so I’m glad it’s warming up. I went out for a ride yesterday and felt really lucky to be able to do it. Thanks Jean xx
