Fashion's Night In

Fashion’s Night In is coming to your screens!

Stake your claim for the TV remote right this instant, as on Monday 16th January we are bringing you a four hour fashion extravaganza from 7pm!

The first in a monthly series, you can expect plenty of styling tips plus expert fashion advice on the clothes that suit you from our stylist Kalee, and the best part is that unlike many fashion events out there – this has been created with you in mind. We have listened to your feedback on our fashion shows, through social media and other channels, and curated a fashion event with what you want to see at the centre.

The event will kick off with an hour-long catwalk show featuring outfits that are perfect for this season, specially selected by our in-house stylists. This will be followed by an hour with the gorgeous designs of Yong Kim. Appropriately enough for the season, we will follow up with our Outerwear Directive collection – packed full of stylish jackets and coats that will have you hoping for the January chills to continue a little longer. The night then finishes up with our Inspirational Looks catwalk event – a must-see selection of outfits designed to impress.

We spoke with Sharon, one of our lovely fashion buyers, about what to expect from the night: “We are incredibly excited about the launch of our Fashion’s Night in on QVC, showcasing our most fashionable brands including Label Lab, Biba, Onjenu, Joe Browns, C. Wonder, Andrew Yu and H by Halston.  There will also be accessories from the likes of Ravel, Amanda Wakeley and Bronx, all with the expert opinions of stylist, Kalee Hewlett.”

You may recognise Kalee as the guest for Label Lab, her extensive styling CV has seen her working in just about every medium – from feature films, television, commercials, pop promos and international fashion titles to personal styling for a number of prominent TV personalities.

Your hosts for the night will be the beautiful Jackie Kabler and Pipa Gordon – both are extremely excited to share their passion for fashion. When we caught up with Pipa for a quick chat about the event, she said: “Jackie and I are thoroughly looking forward to our Fashion Night In on Monday! We have everything from handbags to heels and all in between! We will be featuring plenty of head-to-toe looks that will take you hopping skipping and jumping into spring (through the snow if we have any in the meantime) ….see you from 7pm on Monday.”

The night will also include an exciting preview from our new nailcare and polish brand, Orly. Officially launching on 22nd January, this colourful range will be worn by our presenters and models as the ideal accompaniment to their stylish looks. Here are some examples of the Orly range below, taken by a few beauty insiders here at Q Towers.

Please no more fashion shows or a lot less. Every time I tune in its a fashion hour. What happened to all the other things that used to be on. Now it’s the same old same old. I’ve been a viewer and buyer of many things for a long time but fashion is taking over. Sorry QVC.

I don’t agree with the above viewer! I love the fashion shows and enjoy getting new ideas with the opportunity to buy the whole look. More please! I loved the shows on Style with Katie so please make sure she comes back!

Sorry, got to disagree. I used to love the fashion show which was weekly, starting at 1pm, weekdays. I couldn’t watch is earlier, because I’m on freeview. I would have liked to see it at the weekend though, starting in the morning, which is time that I can sit and have my breakfast and watch something I enjoy. Even if I can’t afford to buy anything until I get paid in January, its nice to browse.

What has happened to all the fashion we used to enjoy??There is not one of the brands up above I want to see. So sad.I used to love Q,V,C, fashion but not any more. Most of it is shapeless, depressing colours and not a sequin in sight!!!! Some of us love bright colours all year round and sparkle too!! The models are too tall as well!!!

Beauty dominates the schedule in my opinion closely followed by just 3 or 4 clothes brands over and over again, it is like Groundhog Day.

Really miss the variety of products and brands we had up to a few years ago. They really need to have a rethink. I know I hardly ever buy now and it isn’t because I haven’t got the money it’s just everything is boring beyond belief.

Please please if we must have so many fashion shows could qvc have more variety ie various styles, not just from USA. . Same with make up brands, just not enough variety! I have been an avid qvc watcher but much less this past year or two. Still buy loads from qvc but TBH it has become dull, same old same old, still pushing ” “bare minerals” and” no no” hair removal system lol… and the post and packing has become ridiculous: really no need for two bottles of nail polish in a 23cm by 16cm box!
As long as QVC continues to stock all the gatineau, elemis, decleor, loccitane, liz earle etc skin and body care and many other brands I will continue watching and buying but fahion and makeup is samey: not enough variety of stlyes in knitwear, some longer tunic tops be good, kim and co had a some recently that i snapped up.. more nightwear, lingerie and need a dash of colour in your make up lines, i am so tired of browns and beiges…I hope i have only been practically critical as im a qvc devotee and just want to see more choice, like we used to have 10 years ago

I agree with many of the above comments. I live in a very rural area and rely on online shopping for most things. QVC was my mainstay, my go to for clothes, but recently everything is make up and jewellery and any fashion is so boring. Other products that I have loved have become limited due to so called customs restrictions although I can still buy them from other online retailers. The French QVC is not the same so if I want my favourite Liz Earle or Judith Williams products I have to nominate an English address and wait until friends come over. This of course is detrimental to the 30 days guarantee. However, I will keep on watching and ordering but the number of orders has fallen sharply recently, I wonder why?
