Ho ho ho! How are you all? Excited for the big day? It’s so close and I’m not sure I’m ready – well I know I’m not as, aside from some Elemis, Scott has nothing under the tree! Argh!
Anyway, it’s not really about the adults is it? It’s about these little monkeys who recently met the big man himself and asked for a telescope and a Power Rangers robot… worth mentioning that since this day, and ‘Santa’ obviously going out and making sure the elves sourced these and wrapped them, the list has changed. *rolls eyes, slaps forehead with hand and reaches for large glass of wine to calm down impending parental guilt at a possible ‘Santa fail’ situation!
The Christmas fair was in town so, as if we weren’t hemorrhaging money enough at this time of year, we went and let the kids fritter some more away on the carousel and dodgems. Their grandad was in town so they loved seeing him – although Josh was convinced he was the better driver, although to be honest Josh thinks he’s better at everything than everyone, 4 going on 24 that one!
Afterwards it was home to warm up with some mince pies and mulled wine, not for the kids obviously! The wine is always for mummy! Hands off!
But it is that time of year where we over indulge, and you’ve probably seen from the lovely Katy Pullinger’s blog that we have an amazing diet company coming to us in the new year. We were lucky enough to try one of their hampers and since then I’ve ordered three more times with them! The food is yummy, the portions are huge (I was on the veggie plan), and everything feels like a homemade meal ready in minutes and the company were soooo lovely to deal with. If you have goals for next year, I can’t recommend The Body Chef more highly enough.
Another new comer here to QVC is Ben de Lisi, the America born fashion designer now here in London! So excited to have him here and his collection is lovely. I’ve order this jumper in indigo. The dog on the front is inspired by his own dog Ella. And I’ve ordered these trousers too. So sparkly!
Talking of sparkly – we went to see the lights at Kew Gardens – they were amazing, but it was cold!
If you’re feeling the chill at the moment, treat yourself to one of these! The luxury Cozee Home faux fur heated blanket. They’re beautiful, so soft and will keep you lovely and snug while you’re watching your Christmas films, or QVC!
Make sure you check out our Big Deals this week…
This lovely knitted coatigan from Nina Leonard, this four-piece set from Laura Geller and this foldaway motorised treadmill from Vibroslim.
I’m going to have to go now, work, kids and shopping await!
Speak soon, hopefully before Christmas, but if we don’t, have a lovely one, and I’ll see you soon
Love Alex xx
