Ok, can I just start by saying it’s not me who is fabulous at fifty. I’m holding onto the last three years of my forties for all I’m worth! No, it’s the eternally showstopping Butler & Wilson who are celebrating 50 years of glamorous fabulosity this month!
Simon Wilson has been delighting us QVC girls (and guys) with his dazzling jewels for the past 25 years, not to mention all the lovely clothes and bags he has brought our way. Many a celebrity has been spotted on TV, especially the super-sequinned shows, sporting his wonderful creations.
They’re frequently the stars of glossy magazine photo shoots and have even been seen on stage at some of the biggest music events you can think of. We are very proud to have his stunning collection at the Q and I’m thrilled to be presenting an hour of gorgeous B&W this Friday at 5pm.
Whilst we are on the subject of fabulous style and pizzazz, let’s talk about our upcoming two-day fashion event. It takes place all day on Friday and Saturday of this week, and if you’re looking for a new handbag, some fresh accessories, or maybe new shoes – who doesn’t love new shoes? – then we have lots up our sleeves to show you.
Speaking of sleeves (tenuous link, I know), of course we will have some superb clothing brands, too. You all know I love my Onjenu dresses. Well, I don’t think that will ever change, but I’ve found room for a joint favourite in my wardrobe and it’s MarlaWynne. They’re like two ends of the spectrum and couldn’t be more different to one another, but I truly love them both!
I’ve always loved one-piece dressing. A dress or a jumpsuit make my life so easy as I’m not great at putting separates together unless they’re jeans and T-shirt or, better still, PJ top and bottom! One of my first loves from Marla was the balloon dress. So flattering. Marla’s is the clothing range which has really helped me to pull together complete outfits. Personal shopper and founder of The Little Black Book of Style, Melissa Hardy has played a big part in that, too.
Melissa has a true passion for fashion. She just has that eye and appreciation for how we can look our best and, for years now, she has always been so helpful to me in putting together different pieces. She will be joining me at midnight tomorrow as we launch our two-day fashion event. We have a gorgeous Today’s Special Value offer from Marla. Marla’s very cleverly designed a tunic to suit all of our figure shapes, no mean feat, and I am really looking forward to sharing it with you.
Right, here’s a less tenuous link… I think! I mentioned figure shapes. Well, if you aren’t so thrilled with yours just now then we also have a great Today’s Special Value offer coming up next Monday, the 12th of August! Alright… I’ll stop trying to do good links, ha ha…The Powerfit Vibrating Plate is everything you need for a fast, effective workout and we are going to have a knockout price. No really, we are. Worth looking out for. We all lead busy lives, and we complain we have no time or money for the gym. You know how much you can spend on just one month’s membership. At least with this product once you have it you don’t have to keep paying those fees. What’s annoying about those fees is that you pay even if you don’t use it. This bit of kit is so easy to store and is always right there when you want to get a workout.
When used in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise plan, Powerfit can help you shape up. You can also help tone your abs, legs, chest, waist, arms and bum for a leaner, tighter, sculpted body.
The proven efficiency of vibration combined with exercise doesn’t just help you transform your health and fitness, but could have other notable benefits to the body. It has little impact on the joints, and some of the benefits include improved balance, mobility and stability. It’s also suitable for all fitness levels – you just push yourself as far as you’re able to.
Some vibration plates have small areas so certain exercises can’t be carried out with the correct form. You’re going to be stepping on it, standing on it, possibly carrying out certain exercises on it, so you need a firm strong foundation. This wide base provides a non-slip compact design that you can trust to hold you and allow you to work out correctly.
There are some people it won’t be suitable for. Powerfit is not suitable for people with a pacemaker or other electronic medical implants, and it is not advisable to use Powerfit during pregnancy. The maximum user weight is 120kg.
So, plenty to be looking out for this week and next! In the meantime, here’s what I’m wearing. The trousers are palazzo pants by Coco Bianco, the top is from Fashion by Together, and the shoes are Skechers.
I must dash for now but I look forward to telling you about singing to cows next week!
Lots of love,
