Exciting shows on the way and medical misunderstandings!

Hope you've had a lovely week. Wow, this weather has been hot hasn't it – well, certainly here in London, how about where you are?

Last week's guess the picture was a slice of cucumber! What do you make of this week's at the end of the blog?

I feel like my feet haven't touched the ground this week. I have a backlog of Holby City to watch! Are you a fan..? I love Casualty too. Although I wish they would bring back Nick Jordan, what a great character.

Speaking of all things medical, I recently collected a prescription for my Dad and was reminded of a lovely story I was either told or read in a magazine many years ago. It always makes me smile when I think about it.

A man visited his local GP and after the consultation was asked to head home and provide a specimen to the surgery the very next day. He was given a little container in which to place the specimen (not sure what he had to give – it's not relevant!)

He did just that and brought it back to the surgery the very next day. There were smiles all round at reception when he presented the sample. The receptionist pointed out that she asked him to bring it back carefully in his jacket pocket… The gentlemen in question had misheard her having brought the specimen back in a jacket potato!

Guess the picI'd love to hear your stories. I'm on Twitter @mecharliebrook or do leave a comment below!

Some more fabulous shows on the way including my Diamonique three hour spectacular this Sunday 20th from 2pm. Also, you know I love my beauty and L'Occitane in particular. I'm on air with Alexis this Tuesday 22nd at 10pm for a two hour special. I hope you can join me!

In the meantime, here's this week's, just for fun, guess the picture!

Take care,

Charlie x

I like the story I was told about a carer who cleaned an elderly gentleman’s flat. She found a bag of Brazil nuts. Elderly man explained his daughter brought them every week but he didn’t have heart to tell her he didn’t like them. He asked if she would like them, she said yes. after a couple of weeks as usual he had nuts for her. She told him she felt guilty eating them as they were not cheap to buy. To this he replied don’t feel guilty love when I’ve sucked the chocolate off them they are no good to me I can’t bite them with having dentures !!!! A true story LOL
