Exciting news this week!

Hi everybody,

It’s all about exciting news in my blog this week… three BIG things to tell you about!

Davina McCall

First, I’m absolutely thrilled to let you know that Davina McCall is coming to QVC. I’ve been a fan for years, of her TV shows but also of her fitness DVDs. I have every single one of them, and find them brilliant for keeping me in shape when I don’t have the time or inclination to go out for a walk or run. So I was SO happy to hear that she’s bringing us two exercise DVDs, one of which is only available at QVC.

We’ll be working out live in the studio with her trainer Ed Lumsden, and because diet is so important to a healthy lifestyle too, we’ll also be preparing food with her nutritionist Max Tomlins. We’re devoting half of the Morning Show to this on Wednesday 8th July, which will be my appearance with Davina, and she will also be appearing in the 2pm and 9pm shows that day. I’ll tell you a lot more in my next blog… I can’t wait!

Second, news for gardening fans – I’ll be presenting a very special gardening show with our expert Richard Jackson in the first week of July.

Earlier this year we made history when we hosted the first ever live show on our sister channel QVC Extra (Sky 673), which normally shows repeats of QVC’s best bits. It was such a success that we’re doing it again, so do join us at 2pm on Friday 3rd July for a fantastic hour with some exclusives especially for QVC Extra, and lots of gardening hints and tips from Richard – it’s going to be fun!

By the way, my favourite plants so far this year have been my giant alliums. The purple variety is just stunning – huge blooms which the bees absolutely love. I’ve counted up to 14 bees at once, just a joy to watch.

My Allium

My book coverAnd finally, some news about me! Some of you will know that I fulfilled a long-held dream in September last year, and signed a three-book publishing deal for a series of murder mystery novels. The publishers have now set the release date for the first – it will be out on 22nd October. It’s called The Dead Dog Day, and last week the cover was finally revealed – I love it! Let me know what you think… you can leave a comment under this blog or chat to me on Twitter (@jackiekabler).

Even more excitingly, it is now available for pre-order on Amazon, so do have a look if you like a mystery novel. And, after years of avoiding Facebook, I now have a page – if you’re on Facebook, you can find me on there too.

That’s it for this week!

Love Jackie x

      Hi Carole,
I’m actually terrified about anyone reading it, which sounds mad! Thank you though, very kind!

    Hi Jackie
Your book cover is reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock’s film ‘Rear Window’ – if the book’s a fraction as good, it’ll be a best-seller for sure!! Good luck with it all. Susanne xx

      Hi Susanne,
Ooh, would never compare myself to Hitchcock but see what you mean about the cover! Thank you.
