Everything’s sweet this Christmas

As the evenings draw in and the annual competition to see who has created the most sentimental Christmas TV ad begins I start to get a warm fuzzy feeling inside. I love Christmas; there, I’ve said it, and I don’t care who knows it! It’s a momentous time of the year full of nostalgia and charm, and a touch of stress too!

Each year there is always that new thing that everyone wants: that must-have toy,  gadget, perfume, handbag…. whatever it is this year it will no doubt be causing stress in case, heaven forefend, we buy someone the wrong thing or we get them the thing that was, in fact, the gift of choice last Christmas.

That is why it is so reassuring to know that we can always rely on some old reliable favourites. You know the ones I am talking about… always there when you need them as a last minute gift, or as a little treat when you have spent the best part of your day off work battling through the crowds in the shops. I am of course talking about an old friend who has been around since 1911, Thornton’s!

It’s with this in mind that I am looking forward to our Thornton’s Christmas TSV which I will be launching at midnight this Thursday night and available all day on Friday, 13th November (lucky for us!). It’s a fantastic 8-piece collection that’s perfect for splitting up as stocking fillers, taking care of your Secret Santa present, treating loved ones, as well as keeping a couple of things back for when guests unexpectedly drop by.

Every year I always get a set because you know that you can always rely on them – the quality, the variety and more than anything the lovely indulgent taste of them. The collection includes a Continental box, with which you can experience the wonder of Europe from the comfort of your own armchair.

Take a taste journey through the lemon groves of southern Italy with the Sicilian Lemon Mousse or scale the heights of the Alps with the gorgeous nutty Alpini, from there you can wend your across the continent with a selection of truffles, mousses and pralines.

Wherever you end up you always know you’ll have enjoyed the journey with Thornton’s, and with 30% minimum coca solids in their milk chocolate and 60% cocoa solids in their dark chocolate you will be sure to get your chocolate fix every single time!!

Join me at midnight on Thursday night / Friday morning to get your Christmas chocs!!!

Until next time,

Miceal. xx
