Luxury spa brand ESPA is back on QVC

Tracey Chappell from ESPAWe are very excited to announce that ESPA, the world-renowned spa skincare range will be returning to QVC on Tuesday 14th August.

We caught up with the new guest, Tracey Chappell, to give you a little more info about what to expect from their latest shows…

How did you get into the world of beauty and begin your career with ESPA?

I can still recall vividly as a little girl, riding in the back of the car to visit my grandparents, and I always sat behind my father to massage his neck because it ached.

He used to tell me ‘you are a natural at massage! Remember you can always follow this path as a career if you wanted to’ and I always used to think how amazing it would be to do something I loved so much.

From that point onwards (aged about 9) I told everyone that would listen, how I was going to be a beauty therapist – and it stuck! I had been a therapist for about six years by the time I came across ESPA at a beauty exhibition in London.

These were the days of cosmetic beauty when spas were barely in existence. I noticed a crowd gathered around a vivacious woman on this very elegant ESPA stand and she was talking about spas and these gorgeous, natural products and it was so inspiring that I wrote her a letter the next day to say how enthused I felt about ESPA.

In the weeks to follow I was offered my first job with ESPA to manage our ESPA counter in Harvey Nichols – and that was over 15 years ago.

Refining Skin polishWhat are your top three products from the range?

I cannot be parted from my Regenerating Face Treatment Oil – it is simply blissful to use and the aroma of jasmine never ceases to make me feel happy.

Following that, there’s a lot of competition for the second and third spots, but I would have to say Restorative Body Oil, which is a saving grace of a ‘hug in a bottle’ on a stressful day, and then the Refining Skin Polish which improves the appearance of my skin so instantly that it’s my hottest skincare tip.

What are your summer skincare top tips?

We pay so much attention to our face that often our bodies are forgotten until the day the sun comes out, and then we feel uncomfortable to reveal dry legs and lacklustre skin.

It is so easy to make a difference with two products I like to call our ‘dynamic-duo’ of ESPA Exfoliating Body Polish which is our minty fresh body scrub to remove dry skin and smooth the surface, followed by our newly launched Smooth & Firm Body Butter.

This body butter has been an hit with our clients because it’s such a deliciously rich cream which truly melts into the skin, leaving it looking and feeling gloriously supple and soft, whilst firming the appearance too which is a bonus.

Are you looking forward to appearing live on QVC?

Yes absolutely! I feel really fortunate to have this opportunity and very excited to share some of our amazing spa secrets to help everyone recreate the ESPA skincare routine at home. But I must be honest in saying it is a little terrifying too and I hope my nerves don’t get the better of me!
