Easter lunch made easy

The bank holiday weekend is fast approaching (although not fast enough in our humble opinion), and so it’s time to start thinking about what kind of tasty treats you might want to serve up to friends or family if you’re hosting a gathering. Whether you celebrate Easter or not, it’s still a great time of year to throw a get-together now the days are getting sunnier and longer.

We’ve put together some of our most delicious products and separated them into categories to make your meal planning that bit easier.

To kick off the meal, we recommend keeping it light with some delicious and nutritious fish, you can’t go wrong with H Forman’s extensive range. Go for classic and tasty with some smoked salmon, just add some lemon wedges and fresh brown bread. Or try something new with their range of fishcakes in five outstanding flavour combinations including, Smoked Haddock & Wholegrain Mustard, and Thai Crab.

Once you’ve whetted your appetite, it’s time to jump into the main event. Again, we’ve chosen a traditional option as well as one for the person who likes to try a bit of something new, both are from the wonderful Green Seasons. Nothing says spring feasting like lamb, this boneless joint comes straight from a British farm, as does all of Green Seasons meat.

If you have a lot of guests to please, but don’t fancy cooking several different dishes, why not try roasting our selection of beef, pork and gammon. Once they’re ready you can leave your guests to their own devises to choose their meat and veggies, then simply serve some up roast potatoes for a guaranteed crowd-pleasing dinner.

After the delicious roast has been polished off, it’s time to start thinking about something sweet. These Belgian Chocolate Brownies from Gower Cottage are baked fresh to order, so you can even fool people into thinking you’ve baked them yourself! If you fancy a bit of variety then go for the Springtime Cake Selection from The Original Cake Company, it includes varieties of chocolate cake, fruit cake and more. If you find you’re a bit too full for cake but want something sweet, try the wonderful selection of hot chocolate from Whittard’s of Chelsea. Flavours include mint, orange, and white hot chocolate.

Treat Collage

Just when you think you couldn’t eat another bite, here’s some ideas for munchies to tempt you. If you’re watching a movie with the family try our gourmet popcorn variety from Joe & Seph’s. The Savoury Treat Bag includes 10 varieties such as Salt and Cracked Black Pepper, and Cheddar Cheese.

Alternatively, there’s nothing like a sweet treat with a cuppa. We recommend either Thorntons Classics collection, or some yummy buttery shortbread from Churchill’s.
