Double duty party jewellery

Party season will soon be upon us and many of us are looking at investing in something new to get people talking when you turn up at the office do.

That might be a whole new outfit or statement jacket, but a single new piece of jewellery can transform your failsafe favourite dress into a showstopper. But what to do with it once the lights go up and the party is over? Two of our jewellery buyers, Krisztina and AbbiMay, were put to the test to wear their favourite party piece to the office.

Let’s see how they got on…

Office-appropriate spells black, but AbbiMay has paired her go-to LBD with a totally look-at-me necklace from Nour packed with great big fistfuls of colour. It definitely elevates an otherwise sober work outfit to fashionable femme fatale territory, and proves statement neckwear isn’t reserved solely for special occasions.

Krisztina – like many of you – has been embracing the unusual earrings trend, and has been wearing a decidedly more understated look at the office this week. When we caught up with her she was wearing a Diamonique ear jacket (but only one, “because it feels less dressy”) incorporating simulated diamonds and cultured freshwater pearls.

If you’re feeling inspired, find these and more party looks here.
