Don’t miss the premiere of Apple on QVC!

IPad 2I just wanted to say hi and give the followers of the 'Fox Blog' a gentle reminder if you haven't seen the promo currently running for a VERY exciting premiere show that I'll be presenting at 10pm this coming Thursday.

It's Q Technology featuring Apple – it's absolutely fantastic that we can bring you a range of superb products from such an iconic brand.

I can't tell you how excited I am to be the lucky presenter for this show and I'll be working alongside Lee Hohbein, one of my favourite technology guests and also a big fan of Apple.

We've got a stunning line up for the show including the amazing iPad 2 – you really have to spend a few moments holding the iPad 2 before you switch it on; it's innovative design is so light and it's only 0.34" thick yet feels so sturdy – it just feels right in your hands and then you switch it on WOW! It's so easy to surf the web, check on your emails, read an ebook or watch a video.

For the techies it has a dual-core A5 chip, meaning it loads apps quickly, has wonderful graphics – and the touch responsive screen is sublime. Look I better stop!

IMac Intel Quad Core i5But don't worry, there's so much more to tell you during the show. We'll also showcase the superb iMac desktop with it's all-in-one capabilities blending power and performance with amazing design! The model we will feature has a powerful Quad Core i5 processor from Intel and a huge 1TB of storage.

We will also be featuring the beautiful MacBook Pro with it's durableMacBook Pro Laptop 'unibody' enclosure, Multi-Touch trackpad and energy efficient design with fantastic battery life and many other innovations inside it's cool exterior.

We also have amazing iPod Nano and iPod Touch media players; my kids have the iPod Touch and they never seem to put them down, whether playing games, listening IPod Nanoto music, watching and recording videos and much more!

The iPod Nano is small and sleek and provides music right at your finger tips; it's even wearable! With its Multi-Touch screen it's great fun, with FM radio and Live Pause and a choice of great colours. We even have the amazing Apple TV which, amongst many other tricks up its sleeve, allows you to watch HD movies and web TV shows using your home network.
IPod Touch
Honestly, I could go on for pages and make no apologies for my obvious gushing excitement – believe me I have only just scratched the surface on how this show could change the way you currently enjoy your multi-media world. Or did you discover Apple many years ago and want to upgrade or add to your collection? I'd love to hear from you if so and look forward to you joining Lee and I at 10pm this Thursday, December 15th.

Dale x

Dale, whatever you do, don’t mention that you’ve blogged about Apple when you do the show on Thursday. My hubbie has had an iMac for over a year and he will be watching cos he’s very curious about what prices The Q have managed to blag. I don’t want him coming anywhere near your blog cos I’ll be in right bother if he sees what I’ve been up to!!
And anyway, what are you playing at doing another blog so soon??!! We’ll never get you to two pages now! There’s absolutely no chance on a ‘tec’y” blog! I’m not impressed, In fact, I’ve got the monk on so I won’t be back for a while!

    Hi Dale,
I discovered the Apple ecosystem a couple of years ago and can say I’m truly hooked by it. On my 3rd iPhone, writing this on my Macbook and got the iPad too for the commute to and from work so I can read up on stuff. Everything about it is just stunning and works really well.
I’d definitely describe myself as a complete geek but love everything apple!

Oh Marian – I can sense your nervousness! To be honest there’s so much to talk about during the show My blog is unlikely to crop up!
Hi Darren – You are not alone – I’m on my 2nd iPhone model and am seriously considering replacing my PC notebook with a Mac but what? a MacBook, Pro/air,iMac ? Decisions heh! I’ve recently bought the AppleTV and it’s so typically Apple – very compact, Simple to set up and use and just brilliant ! Hope you enjoy the Show but it sounds like you already have most of the line-up!
    cheers for now Dale

Dale, you were very quick again………… blogging. I didn’t get the chance to tell you how much I loved the picture of you and your brother. I also didn’t get the chance to thank Jill Franks; thanks Jill. Hope Windy Wen from Wigan is okay; you did make me laugh Jill x
Ma, you mustn’t be too hard on Daleo re his ‘techi’ blogs; after all, we’re always going on about our gadgets. I will be watching though because that iPad2 sounds verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry interesting Dale – you naughty tease!!
Christmas is getting very close now and I’m soooooooooooo in the Christmas mood. In fact, I can feel another couple of Christmas songs coming on. Do you think you are ready Daleo for a couple more songs? Doesn’t matter if you’re not really, cos I’m gonna sing ’em anyway. Are you there Ma? Lots of love Ma, please feel free to join in. Right, on yer marks, get set, goooooooooo

    Hi Dale
Just watched the show (blink and you missed it!) I knew the products would be popular but did you think it would be that popular? Wow I dont think i’d seen a show complete so quickly. Yes i’ve got a few devices but always on the lookout. I’ve got one of the last of the White Macbook models before they discontinued them and its still good but do wish I’d gone for the aluminium instead. I loved the look of the iMac and my wife loves the look too as she hates wires so if we opt for a new desktop in the future I suspect we may go that way.
Re your decisions I guess it depends on what you want to do. The Air is very fast but you’ll be limited with the space you have to store stuff so its very much that balancing act. I run all sorts of IT stuff on mine like virtual machines so I need storage and portability so I’d stump for the Macbook pro.
I’ll stop wittering on now but I”ll be looking out for the next Apple show.
    All the best

I’m back Dale. Did you miss me gorgeous?! Of course I didn’t really have the monk on. Actually, they’re not my type Daleo ……… bit too quiet for me!!! No, there’s just so much to be done this time of year and parties to go to, etc, etc…………
There really isn’t much to go at for me and Gail on this blog though and, as you can see, you’ve caused Gail to hit the sherry again! Mind you, I can see you’ve made an effort with the old double entendres…… “it feels just right in your hands” and “touch responsive” …… nothing gets past me Dale’icious as I’m sure you’ve come to realise! Does amaze me how you can get soooooooo exited over an apple though! That said, congratulations on what was clearly a runaway success of a show.
And now, just in case this is your last blog before crimbo Dale ……. here is a seasonal message from HM………… (that’s ‘hilarious’ (your words Dale) ‘Ma’)!
Deck Dale’s blog with comments jolly
Fa la la la la la la la la
Join the ladies ‘off their trolley’
Fa la la la la la la la la
    Double entendres, innuendoes
Fa la la la la la la la la
Fill yer saucy boots, Ho Ho Ho
Fa la la la la la la la la!
A very happy Christmas Dale to you and your loved ones (big crimbo smacker for Toby Dog X) xxxx
Lots of love and good wishes to all the fans and followers of The Fox’s blog, especially the lovely Gail with whom I have had a ball this year … Happy Christmas sweetie and I look forward to lots more fun and frivolity in 2012. xxxx Not forgetting the Q’s blog editing team who make it all possible! xxxx

Gail – you’ve got me all Christmassy with your wonderful re-mix of the Springstein Classic – not sure what Bruce would make of it but I loved it! Jingle Bells all the the Wahay! more like it!Dale x
Hi again Darren – Yes blink and you missed it ! You’re right – Normally Lee and I would be ecstatic that a show sold out of all it’s stock in 20 something minutes but actually we were disappointed that the Q Tech show featuring Apple sold out so quickly – We had both put so much effort into doing Apple’s great line up justice – only to find that 2/3 lines sold out from preview! we only got a very limited time to squeeze in one or two quick demos of the remainder! Oh well – it still leaves me slightly unsure of the right machine for me – infact Charlie Brook and I have had the same thoughts as you outline above – but whatever we decide I know we won’t be disappointed – cheers for Now! Dale.

    Morning Daleo, Ma and Gill,
Another quick one Daleo as I’m off shopping, AGAIN!!! This time of year I don’t know whether I’m coming or going (NO comments please Ma). I’m so glad you enjoyed our little ‘sing song’ Dale x
Blink and you missed it eh; been there done that eh Ma!! Anyway, bet Dale prefers a pair, oops I mean pear.
Ma, my lovely pal, can I ask you what a ‘double entendres’ is? Is it a drink Ma; if so I’ll have a double too.
I must go now Dale, but I will be back SOON. Hello Gill, even though we’ve terrorised poor Daleo all year, it’s nice to know that we’ve put a smile on your face xx Happy Christmas to you and a healthy, happy New Year.
Happy Christmas to you Daleo and your family and also to my best pal, Marian. Lots of love Ma xx
I must go now Dale; I’m so tired I can’t dot another i or cross another t (you can see what films I watch can’t you Dale).
Before I go I want to write something that I heard at the weekend, which I think sums Ma and me up perfectly:
    Growing old is compulsory
    Growing up is optional
    Lots of love, Gail xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Only meeeeeeeeeeee!
I’m coming alright. Oh yeeeeeeeesssssssss indeedy ………… to The Q’s 2012 Beauty Bash of course! Well what did you think I meant Dale??!! Got my invitation last week, so get your name down for hosting the afternoon bash gorgeous ……….. yeah right!!
It’ll be all ‘New Year, New You’, but I think I like me just the way I am and, as you say Gail, growing up is optional!
Merry Christmas Gill and it’s nice to know you enjoy the madness. I’m not sure sometimes where it comes from but, as long as it keeps coming, (there I go again Gail!), I’ll keep it up (ooohhhhh, one for you there Daleo)!!

Ay Gail, it’s just dawned on me that we need to aim higher! Yes, if its true that Dale prefers a pair (oops, I mean pear!!), then getting to page two on his blog will never be good enough. We need to make it to page three!!!!!! LOL!!!!

  13. Gail December 22, 2011 at 11:04 am -  Reply

Ma, I was getting a bit worried that we may be keeping all the ‘serious’ bloggers away, but as it is the season for NUTS I think we’re okay for now. I’ll think about that another time; after all, tomorrow is another day!! (another insight into the films I watch Daleo).
Have a happy birthday Dale. I’m just off shopping, AGAIN!!
    Gail xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

HM, I like you just the way you are too x Beauty bash eh; sounds a bit violent to me Ma! Have a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year. Lol, Gail or Gaileo; doesn’t matter which, I’ve been called worse. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
