Hello!
Well, the summer continues and isn’t it glorious?! I know we really could do with some rain and at times it has felt so hot but I won’t let myself complain!
What have you been up to over the last couple of weeks and any plans for the rest of the summer?
I have had a busy couple of weeks preparing to move house (will tell you more about this in the coming weeks) and also had some wonderful time with friends too.
Talking of friends, I have always got on really well with Eilidh and last week we had both finished on air around the same time so decided to grab a quick dinner. It was a lovely balmy night so we sat outside and tucked into chicken, rice and salad at a local Turkish restaurant with a cool glass of wine, it was so lovely to have some time together.
This weekend was cause for a big celebration with my best friend Julian’s 50th birthday! It all started with a long boat cruise on Regent’s Canal, followed by lunch and then a garden party.
Glorious weather all day, lots of fun and first glass of champagne at 10am – eeek! Lets just say Sunday I had a teeny bit of a headache!!
Lots to look forward to at QVC as always; this Thursday sees a Today’s Special Value from Lock & Lock – I adore this brand and often say I never thought I could get so excited about storage containers! I use mine predominantly in the kitchen and from cupboard to freezer, dishwasher to bag they are brilliant!
I take my food to work in them, I store my cereal in them, herbs in the freezer, leftovers – you name it they go in a Lock & Lock! Can’t wait to show you the set during The Lunchtime Show!
Then next week we will be gearing up for Christmas in July – hurrah – more on that in next week’s blog.
For the moment, enjoy the sunshine, keep smiling and sending big hugs as always.

Hi Craig. Eeeeek Christmas in July. But you know what, I’m bound to buy something. The QVC effect! The weather is wonderful isn’t it. Really enjoying it. I do hope your house move goes well too. Take care.
J xx
Hi Janet,
Great to hear from you as always. Yes, it does seem a little crazy to start talking christmas but then the idea of being organised for it sounds pretty good! Thanks very much, Im hoping it all goes well.
Take care and hopefully hear from you soon.

Julian’s birthday party looks hilarious, what a great way to turn 50!
After watching one of your lock and lock shows and putting a few to the test they are now they only food containers I use. They definitely keep food fresher than the traditional storage box. I am slightly OCD so as soon as a food package is opened it is popped in a lock and lock. Where it is air tight I know that any food smells wont get out and it will keep it fresh – no more hard Jaffa cakes!
