Cwtchy catch ups and Copper Chef

Seasons Greetings! I don’t feel it’s too early to say such a thing as I’ve already had one Christmas this year… and I’m not talking about QVC’s Christmas in July.

If you’re a regular to my blog you’ll know how much of a fan of Wales I am. Last week I took some time off to enjoy some of what it has to offer. I was able to spend some of my time working on my latest jewellery design for Clogau to launch in spring of next year. There are many reasons for my deep affection for the country but I’ll start with the fact that one of my bestest friends (in the whole wide world, of course) lives there.

I booked a gorgeous little holiday cottage in Tenby, West Wales, and invited my two great friends to come and stay for a couple of days to enjoy an early Christmas complete with fairy lights, Christmas dinner and presents! Oh, and plenty of cwtches. You may be wondering if that’s a typo but it’s not. A ‘cwtch’ is a hug or cuddle in Welsh!

I was lucky enough to be given a set of forthcoming Copper Chef’s Today’s Special Value (featuring all day Monday at a great price) to trial so I took the set on holiday with me and now I am totally in love!! I had never tried this range before but now I can’t stop using them. My son is rather adept in the kitchen and he has totally fallen for them, too.

The set is great as you not only get the Copper Chef 6 in 1 pan that does the job of a roasting tin, a rice cooker, a steamer, a stock pot, a wok and a baking dish but you also get the frying pan which can be used in the oven, as well! Responding to customer reviews, we have amended the original pan’s design to feature two casserole style handles making it easier to get in and out of the oven.

The square design of the pans means they’re easily stored in the cupboard. I love the fact they are rose gold in colour as this works really well in my kitchen. These will work on all hobs which is great for me as I have an induction hob at home but we used gas at the holiday cottage. They’ve also been through two dishwashers with no problems at all! They’ve been trialled and then some and passed all tests with flying colours!

The only thing that proved a bit disappointing was the weather (to be expected at this time of year, of course)… we only had one good day but made the most of it by exploring the beautiful beaches of Tenby. I couldn’t believe the amount of heart-shaped pebbles I saw! It was like Wales was cwtching me right back!

With the changing weather often comes changes in our skin. If your skin is feeling lacklustre and you want to kick it into shape for the party season look out for the Christmas Timebomb TSV from Lulu. It’s a comprehensive five-piece set and will be launching on the 9th December.

I’m sending you all a big ‘cwtch’ and hoping you’re keeping toasty in this colder weather.

Lots of love,

Catherine xx
