Cornish ‘Hello’ and the Murad Duo I’m Loving!

Hello, so here it is, another #BlogTuesday. Do check back on a Tuesday as this is the day my new blogs go live, sometimes a new one weekly, sometimes fortnightly. Either way Tuesday IS the day!

I’m sending this blog from Cornwall this week, as I’m here a couple of days to see my friend James who has just moved back after 20 years in Ibiza (he seems to be readjusting to Cornish life just fine!). It’s been a really lovely mix of walks, family time and playing with the dogs. Weather up and down but so lovely to get away from London for a couple of days.

Craig and friend

Have you tried Murad skincare? In a previous blog, Beautiful Singing, Beautiful Skin, I went for a Murad facial and had brilliant results. I am also a big fan of their Invisiblur Perfecting Shield that I often wear on air to perfectly prime my skin.

I am new to their Hydro-Dynamic moisture range though; my friend Emma is a massive fan and alternates between Murad and Kiehls and I have always been curious why it’s only these two she uses.

Now I think I know! I have been trialling the Hydro-Dynamic Duo and it is brilliant! I don’t know if it’s the changing seasons and weather or the late nights at work or stress but I had really started to notice my skin was looking rather sallow. Over these last few days I have switched my morning routine to this Murad duo and wow, what a difference! First step is the ‘Quenching Essence’ which feels like a morning pint of water for the skin. Followed by the moisturiser which seems rather thick but actually again absorbs into the skin like a drink and doesn’t feel at all heavy. The result – a skin that looks awake, hydrated and full of life! I am so glad I finally got round to trying this duo so if your skin is looking lack-lustre give it a go!

Looking ahead I have my first Molton Brown show on Saturday 30th April at 6pm which I am really excited about. What’s your favourite Molton Brown product? I love Black Peppercorn for its warming stimulating properties and Eucalyptus for its bracing and refreshing ones! Thank goodness we have sets like these so you can try all of them!

Molton Brown
I do hope you will join me for that and my other shows on QVC over the next week or so.

Thank you SO much for reading my blog and remember, a new one always come out on a #BlogTuesday.

Do you like or know Cornwall? Have you tried Murad? What’s your favourite Molton Brown product? Drop me a message with those answers or just to say ‘hello’ below.

Big hugs,

My favourite Molton Brown is Puritas but I think they have changed the name now. The new honeysuckle and the lily of the valley are really lovely. Did you find a Cornish pixie whilst away.

Hi and Hello Craig, loving your blog and you look so happy! ..great idea with the drinking water, I think we all need reminding about this from time to time, also sometimes you think you feel hunger and it’s probably thirst.
I love the Murad range and started using it when my daughter was training to be a beauty therapist. The collage promoted this range.
My absolute fave Molton Brown product is the Eucalyptus bath soak, great if you have the sniffles! clears the head and such a comforting soak. Take care, lot’s of love.X

Hi Craig – yes, love Cornwall too – great place 🙂 And I ordered that Molton Brown set on Beauty Day and it arrived yesterday – it was the best five minutes of the day, sitting down and taking time to savour the amazing smells of every single one – 4 of them were new to me – and they are all totally wonderful. Enjoy your break!

Hi Craig firstly I love Cornwall I went there every summer holidays until I was 16 we stayed in Gwthian near Hayle and last year my parents brought a house just outside of Penzance. Its for all of us to move to once my health is sorted but in the meantime my parents spend most of there time there and us kids and grandkids visit. I love Cornish life everyone says hello to each other and there’s still community and manners’. My brother and sister-in-law had to move to Cornwall 7 years ago as they couldn’t afford to buy in London and were expecting there 2nd son so we go to Newquay to visit them all the time. Anyway I’m glad your friend has settled back into Cornish life and that you enjoyed your break. The dog in your first photo is gorgeous too!!! I have tried murad about a year ago I used the range for oily blemished skin with the lime green packaging I found it very good at controlling oil and spot’s but not so good for wrinkles and sagging skin. Because I cannot afford to use loads of products from expensive ranges, I went back to my trusted Sbc collagen everything top to toe with added in cucumber gel for around the eyes and vitamin E for spots and lastly jasmine and EPO for oiliness and because of Qvcuk and there great prices and TSV’S I can afford to be luxurious and apply as often as I like. Will be watching your shows and its great to have you back your so cheerful

Molton brown rhubarb and rose hand wash and lotion is stunning!!! For the bath the ylang ylang is a lovely way to relax after a busy day. Smells amazing and leaves you nice and de stressed. I was introduced to MB by QVC and have to be honest I have purchased quite a few sets!!! I haven’t found any that I don’t like which is unusual for me as normally when you get a mixture of scents you would think there may be some that aren’t really to your taste. That was my plan to give those items to friends for their b’day or Xmas!!! However as I love them all I will just have to keep them all for myself!!!!x

    • Craig Rowe May 3, 2016 at 2:18 pm -  Reply

      Hi again Lisa!

I absolutely love the Rhubarb and Rose too! Find myself washing my hands a lot just to get to smell it again! Lol. I totally understand as I struggle to give them away as presents too as I just love them all!

Thx so much for your messages

    Hi Craig,

I have been to Cornwall a few times, Fowey was just beautiful when I went a couple of years ago with friends, if you get a chance you should visit, it is very pretty and lots of nice fudge shops!

I haven’t tried any Maud products, but I will be sure to add it to my “hit list”.

I will be sure to tune in on Saturday, I have my cousin visiting and we were planning on doing mani-predi’s using the Margaret Dabbs and OPI products I have from QVC so it will be great to pamper and watch you with more beauty products!

    Enjoy Cornwall!

Love Cornwall – try to visit two or three times a year usually out of season which is lovely and quiet. See your picture is taken in Padstow – looks like it’s right outside a little café called Cherry Trees and if you are staying nearby wanted to give you the nod as the food there is fabulous, all freshly prepared and very friendly. Enjoy
