Concert Special

Oh my goodness did we have a fabulous time in Sheepwash Saint Lawrence church on Wednesday night! Barry Parsons, the local Devon County Councillor who sings with me from time to time, and is my pal, used to be in a man band and has an amazing voice. We sang songs from the musicals, films and TV shows and it was a really good evening.

So many local people came up and said to us afterwards how wonderful it was to revive the community spirit. And get so many people singing along in the church, including at one point everyone belting out the Monkees’ ‘I’m a believer’, which I thought afterwards must’ve sounded quite strange from outside the church! It made for a really feel good evening. We even managed to fit over 40 people in our little guesthouse which had extended the Wednesday tearooms to offer refreshments during the interval, and we managed to have enough vintage teacups and saucers and cake for everybody! One of the highlights for me was singing ‘Any dream Will do’ and going round the audience getting people to sing a line at the end! And listening to Barry singing ‘bring him home’ as a finale. It was all in aid of the church roof and we raised over £500, so a great evening considering the tickets were only £7 each! I tell you what though I was so nervous again. Thank goodness everyone was very kind and it was lots of fun.

We have been asked to do it again – so maybe at Christmas, we will see. I will try to put a link up on my social media so you can see the concert in its entirety so follow my social media as below, it will go up over the weekend. Thanks to everyone who put nice comments on the blog. And everyone else who attended!

Had the most wonderful day looking after my beautiful granddaughter, and she is doing well – nearly crawling now! Only three weeks until Lauren’s baby is born, he/she and Blake will be in the same year. Exciting times.

Watch: 22nd Street

Having never been to see it, I was very glad to be able to enjoy this tap-dancing, spectacular extravaganza in the West End last weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed it and I’m very glad my lovely friends Sara, Selin, and Christina and Selin‘s mum, could join me. I really recommend seeing this in the West End if you love tap dancing and the old Busby Berkeley style musicals. Very accomplished performances and great singing as well.

Family get-together

One of the Dave’s in the family – mums partner David – had his birthday at the weekend and we all got together at the Bowls club for a very delicious Sunday dinner. His sons and their family came too. As I have said before there are many Daves in our family, so the birthday boy is known as mum’s Dave! Happy birthday!

This week’s highlights:

Monday – 3 Easy Pay day continues with a very powerful battery powered security light from Luxform

TuesdayNails Inc six-piece Too Cool to give a Jewel Collection – the one many presenters have been wearing. Six for under £30 including P&P is incredible. See early bird link above

WednesdayLulu Guinness Amber cross body bag is here. Very glamorous.

Thursday – a massive 55” 4K smart Curved TV from Samsung, also on easy pay.

And look out at the end of the week for the Power Air Fryer Cooker with rotisserie and dehydrator function – looks very interesting, I do like a good kitchen gadget! There will also be an early bird order link for a big beauty brand Today’s Special Value offer, so keep ’em peeled!

It’s my Devon week next week and I cannot wait for a little break. I am going to see Lauren in Wales, meeting up with some friends and having a scan for a dodgy meniscus on my knee. Or something… Have a great week! I’m still recovering…

Have a lovely week!

Best wishes

Whoops already bought the Nails Inc TSV. Been using Wet and Forget for years now – the ‘S’ that I did on the path outside my house three years ago is still showing!

You certainly are a very talented lady Debs . Personally I sing about the house to the radio, but I couldn’t keep a tune in a bucket. X

Hi great blog as always. Sorry to hear a about your dodgy knee. May I recommend sleeping with a pillow under it if it’s painful 🙂

In regards to card counting, the fundamental
principle is that players have the ability to determine the best possible situations to improve their monetary bets.
