Hello, I hope you’ve all been keeping well since my last blog.
I’m very excited to be doing my first QVC blog competition, and from such a brilliant brand.
This Works are an award-winning British brand, renowned for delivering intelligent formulas that deliver great results and for infusing their ranges with natural, active ingredients.
The set I have for one lucky person, is 150ml of the Deep Sleep Pillow Spray, 250ml of the Deep Sleep Shower Gel and 15ml of their No Wrinkles Tired Eyes, worth approximately £30.
Now I very rarely have trouble falling to sleep, having two small children means I’ve been sleep deprived for a very long time and I’m often amazed I don’t nod off on air! But I can definitely struggle to unwind at the end of the day. My mind races with the lists of jobs that need doing in the morning, and how I’m going to get everything done before school pick up! It can be tricky to switch off.
The first item in this set I wanted to try was the award winning Pillow Spray, but I have to admit I was a bit sceptical, could it really help me relax? And was it just going to smell of lavender?
However, I was wonderfully surprised. I have definitely noticed a difference since using it, and even Scott, who’s currently suffering with a sore back… not that you’d know about it as he never mentions it *rolls eyes*, has commented on how lovely it smells and how he thinks it’s made a difference to his mood when he wakes up.
And that’s the clever thing about this spray. Not only can it help you fall asleep quicker, but it also helps you to wake up feeling refreshed. It’s very clever, which is probably why it’s award-winning!
The fragrance is so beautiful, not like a basic lavender smell at all, it smells like being in a spa! It has the essential oils of lavender, wild camomile and vetivert.
Worth noting here is that this isn’t suitable for children, this is for adults only and to be honest it smells too good to waste on little noses. It is suitable if you’re pregnant though, so might be a lovely gift idea for anyone struggling to relax or get sleep with a baby on board.
If you’re someone who likes to shower before bed, then you’ll also love the Deep Sleep Shower Gel.
As you’ll know, quite often taking a shower invigorates you, and that’s not what you want before you tuck yourself in, so This Works have created a sulphate-free body wash, again created with a fusion of those same essential oils, but also skin softening coconut oil. This leaves you cleansed, rebalanced, silky soft and relaxed… heaven. I’m not really a night time shower person but Scott is, and he loves it. He bikes home most evenings so is a night-time shower-er. It’s not what I would describe as a typically manly scent though, so I’m under strict instructions not to tell anyone. Ooops!
Whilst I rarely have a shower at night, I do love a bath, and the great thing about this gel is that if you pour it under warm water it will give you a luxurious silky bubble bath foam. Bliss!
Finally if you find that in the morning you suffer from puffy eyes and dark circles, then their No Wrinkles Tired Eye Cream is amazing. It’s also award-winning. This one Scott does not get to use!
One pump will do both eyes, so the 15ml goes a long way. You simply apply to the eye contours at night and its natural ingredients will help to refresh your skin.
Featuring retinol and hyaluronic acid, this powerful cream works to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and revitalise. This is not fragranced and is silky to apply. I love it!
Now, in order to win this set please leave a comment at the bottom of this blog and your email address (this will not be published) and somebody will be selected at random! The competition closes at midnight on Sunday 10th June and all the Terms & Conditions can be found online. Good luck!
If you’re not selected but love the sound of this set, then it’s this week’s Big Deal.
It’s currently half term for us so we have popped to Wales to visit my mum and step dad. They live in Hay-on-Wye, a small town famous for second hand book shops. Once a year there’s a literature festival where lots of authors and comedians come and perform or sign their books. There’s always a brilliant buzz.
The jumper I’m wearing is by Paul Costello and it’s cotton so feels lovely against the skin and is the perfect weight for this time of year.
If you’ve been watching The Handmaid’s Tale, or remember the book, then you’ll know that seeing this walking through town was a bit creepy!
We are heading off to Cornwall today to see some friends and my brother who is building a huge a boat there! This is him trying to convince my mum it’s safe to go! LOL!
Thanks for reading my blog this week and good luck in the competition!
