I’m currently packing for a trip to Italy. We are going on a long weekend, child free, with some friends. I can’t wait! I’m trying to condense everything into hand luggage, which can be tricky when it comes to your toiletries… but this set is perfect from Philip Kingsley. There’s 75ml of Body Building Shampoo, 75ml of Moisture Balancing Conditioner, 75ml of Coconut Elasticizer (which you should never go on holiday without!) and 25ml of the salt-free texturising spray Instant Beach, for those gorgeous beachy waves without the drying salt of the sea. It even comes in a transparent bag! Perfect!
I always think a holiday is a good excuse to buy a new bag… or three! They’re an important part of travelling. You need one to keep hold of boarding passes, passports, books, purse, phone etc., and then you need one for keeping your valuables safe for the evening, and of course one for taking everything to the beach! So, actually, you need at least three bags for a holiday.
I love this one for travelling from Amanda Lamb in the cream and navy.
And she also does a lovely leather star passport holder.
And I’ll also be packing my IT Cosmetics Hello Lashes Mascara – not only is the brush design amazing for capturing every lash, but this mascara also has a tint in it, so it makes your eyelashes look darker the next day even when you’re not wearing it, which is great when you’re by the pool or sun and don’t want to be wearing makeup.
This eyeshadow set they do in Amber has every colour I need, and it comes with a brush; you can use it wet for a more intense colour payoff or dry for a softer look. Every colour option is so beautiful and the texture is so creamy!
Whilst I know I’m going to indulge heavily while I’m away, I am trying to be a bit healthier and to get the kids to eat better. In fact, when they break up, the kids and I are going to be doing a lot of cooking in a bid to get Josh to eat foods that aren’t beige!
So when I saw this range, I knew it was something that we, as a family, should try, and we have been loving it. It’s the Omega 3 and Vitamin C supplement package from Your Zooki! Pretty much the only fish I can get into my kids is in the shape of a finger, and I don’t know how much actual fish is in those and how much is breadcrumbs! Scott and I very rarely eat fish also, but we know that Omega 3 is very important in terms of brain development and for a healthy heart. In this set, you also get the Vitamin C sachets, which we know is great for our immune system, but it’s also important to help support our teeth, skin, gums, bones and nervous system, and we definitely are not getting enough of it from our diet. So this was the perfect bundle to try. We went for the Tropical flavour, but I also love the Lime!
All you do is take one spoonful a day of the omega – it’s creamy like a fromage frais, and you could put it on your breakfast or in a smoothie, but we just like it straight. You just take the sachets straight from the pouch; we have one, but the kids have half each. They love it.I love that everything in Your Zooki’s ingredients are sugar, dairy, gluten and soy free with 100% natural ingredients. When it comes to vitamins for the kids, I sometimes wonder how much is vitamin and how much is sugar, so it’s great to know that these ones are actually keeping them healthy. We’ve loved it so far.
There is a Big Deal on the way on the 23rd July from Magformers. These are magnetic shapes that children can put together to build whatever their imagination wants. There are even wheels, so they can build cars and drive them about. Josh and Izzy both loved them, and it was really lovely to see them working and figuring out where they wanted pieces to go, using their brains and co-ordination.
Here’s a bit more info about them:
Big Deals that we have this week, though, are these fab Sketchers – they’re perfect if you’re thinking of getting of active over the summer, but also so comfy for everyday wear.
Thanks for reading my blog and I’ll see you soon,
