Chez Huntley Kittycat Therapy

10

Well, hello to you lovely folks! Thank you for all of your comments on my recent blog posts. Once again, I really do appreciate the time and care you take to get involved and share your own experiences.

I’m still recovering well. I’m doing my physiotherapy at home four times a day. I am progressing but not fast enough for my liking. One major upside to my being at home is that the gorgeous cats of Chez Huntley, Pixiecat and Popsiecat, have been the most amazing company for me.

Popsie has always been a bit more standoffish but Pixie is nearly always at my side lately! Some people say that animals do provide a genuine therapeutic benefit for those who are unwell. One of my twitter friends, Sue, even said that cats purring has been shown to aid bone repair in some way! Obviously, I am not suggesting anyone do away with any medical treatment or advice… I’m just saying I can really relate to the idea that having animals around can help you to feel better.

Pixie has been so incredibly loving. She sits with me. She follows me to the bedroom and back in to the lounge. She looks into my eyes a lot. It’s as though we are going through some kind of deeper bonding through spending so much more time together. She melts my heart. Even just watching the pair of them has a calming effect and makes me smile. They really are adorable little souls.

They do like to investigate anything new that arrives at the house. They usually also insist on exploring and boxes and packaging, too. So funny. Well, I’ve been shopping from home… again! Honestly, if I’m not on QVC then I’m shopping with QVC. In fact I often do both together!

I don’t know if you’ve heard but we have a special promotion on for our Northern Nights bedding range. Throughout October and November there is 20% off most items so it’s a great time to browse through the deals. The bedding is of super high quality with beautiful cottons and all made in Portugal. The height of luxury.

I love this wonderfully soft set in a choice of really versatile neutral colours, and this 100% cotton flat sheet is such a bedding staple.

I have a very grey bedroom which is very bijoux… ok, it’s just plain small. When I came across this set in a pink/grey paisley I thought it would be just the right set to elevate the look of my bedroom and add some interest. I adore my Cozee Home bedding, too, for the obvious cozy warmth but I felt I’d really like to have some super chic and upmarket looking bedding to enjoy, too.

I purchased this Alison Cork throw a while back and I think the entire look gives a bit of a boutique hotel feel. Unfortunately, due to my photography, the pictures don’t do it justice. It looks so great in person. I’m really enjoying it. The cats are, too!

One of the best things about buying bedding from QVC, of course, is that you can try it out. Sleep on it, wash it and so on and if you decide you want to send it back you can. I think some of the bedding would make a great Christmas gift, too. Our extended money back guarantee for Christmas gifts is now in operation so you can start buying pressies with confidence that they can be returned up to the 25th of January 2019. I always find it’s good to buy in dribs and drabs rather than leave it all to the last minute, both financially and for the sake of convenience.

Well, I’ll sign off for now but I’ll be back with my next blog next Wednesday. If you celebrate Halloween have a spooktacular time!

Pleased you are getting a little better; I just adore your two lovely cats….I have two black and white rescue cats, who are ‘getting on a bit’ now, but they used to prefer cardboard boxes more than any other toy….take care of yourself and give your two cats all the love and attention you can, which I am sure you do already !!!!!

I’ve said it countless times before but I will say it again……I LOOOOOOVE your two kitty cats. They are simply gorgeous. My little Minnie is the same as Pixie…..she is by my side, no matter where I am or what I am doing, every one of her waking moments (which to be fair, aren’t that many!). My Mitzi is more like Popsie, – she too can be quite affectionate but she “rations” it a bit more to keep me wanting more! I can’t believe Pixie is STILL using that box! How many months later?? Does she ever share with Popsie? (doubtful). As I said in a tweet yesterday, please please try to see the documentary Kedi about stray cats in Istanbul. As a cat lover it is a definite MUST SEE – such a feel good uplifting heart warming film.
