How’s the summer going for you? I’m typing this from my bed as I’ve come down with the dreaded summer cold. Looking out of my window I can see torrential rain. Nice for the gardens but it doesn’t seem that much like July today in my book! Still, I’m not complaining. I’ve got my two girls, Pixiecat & Popsiecat keeping me company. If only I could train them to make a homemade soup for me. Thus far they can only do shop bought. He he, if only. I’d settle for some today. In fact, Soupology do a gorgeous range which are homemade. I ought to have had some in. Anywho, I’m off on tangents already. I blame the fuzzy head brought on by the lurgy.
We are a nation of animal lovers and I know so many of you are cat crazy, like me. If you read back through my blogs you’ll see my girls, Pix & Pops, feature fairly regularly. You may have also noted the recent addition of Hercules to the blogs. Not just my blogs, either. Hercules has won all of our hearts at QVC by adopting us! He does have owners who are aware he visits us but, with the amount of time he spends at QVC these days, I think we’d have to agree on shared ownership. Though there is a saying, “cats don’t have owners, they have staff”. That’s probably more like it. Hercules is completely adored and I spend way too much time with him when I arrive at and leave QVC each workday. Look out for him on the garden shows as he does enjoy the limelight!
Now to tell you about another new cat on the block at the Q. He (or she, possibly) is a quirky little character created by Amanda Angless. The collection is very different to anything else on QVC and there’s such a broad selection to choose from varying from their ‘World of Wobble’ brooches to contemporary resin statement pieces and even cute tote bags like this quirky cat one.
One Button is an exciting and dramatic range of fashion treasures, from brilliant beads to silk scarves and beautiful bags. They embrace the magic of the Far East coupled with the design flair for which they are renowned.
They’ve been established for 12 years and the brand has many loyal customers. They love the frivolous look and collect and cherish the pieces which quickly become firm friends. The designs are ‘go to’ favourites in their wardrobe which instantly transform and enhance any outfit. I think this makes them perfect as summertime accessories to add a splash of fun to maxi dresses or even just jeans and a T-shirt.
Amanda appreciates that every woman has her own style and personality and wants the wearer to feel comfortable and proud. When worn, these quirky and up to the minute designs regularly attract compliments. I have been wearing several of the pieces over the past week or so they’ve certainly received plenty of attention. The brands handwriting evokes a smile and has that rare quality to delight across a wide age range.
The collection isn’t all about cats but as I’m a crazy cat lady I’m afraid I already have my favourite! Join the creator, Amanda Angless, and myself on Tuesday 18th of July at 2pm for the premiere of this colourful, fun and fabulous range.
In the meantime, meows and purrs to all of your furry felines from me and mine.
Love Catherine xxx
