Catching up with new Honora pearls guest Jessica Toniolo

We’re excited about the gorgeous Today’s Special Value Ming pearl necklace from Honora that we have coming up tomorrow (Thursday 30th April). It’s a really versatile bronze lariat necklace that you can easily pair with other pearls and it looks great draped over dresses or with a shirt and jeans.

So, we thought we’d catch up with our new Honora guest Jessica Toniolo ahead of the launch…

Tell us a bit about about your role with Honora and what you do?

I work out of our Italian office, taking care of the product development with the Italian manufacturers. I am right in the middle of the globe between our New York team and our pearl sources/partners in China, and this helps quite a lot considering the time difference between the two sides of the world .

Our designers like to work with Italian factories especially when we want to incorporate nice chains, textures and finishes – that is what they are well-known for. I have direct contact with the designer team also regarding the new trends. We like to exchange thoughts and ideas about what is out there and make them ‘Honora’ pieces, keeping always in mind who our final customers are and what they like.

What are your favourite designs from the current collection?

Studs are always a must-have in all of the different colour options, as well as the stretch bracelets. I also love the several pieces we brought in bronze with the rose gold plating – really feminine and fresh looking.

What is your vision of the Honora customer and what is her style?

I strongly believe she loves pearls and she knows and likes the fact that Honora has really changed the approach to pearls, adding colour and alternative designs to the classic ones as well as making it a ‘dream come true’ – no longer limited to nobles, higher classes and celebrities like it used to be in the past. Her style is definitely unique. There are various styles, it all depends on her personality. She really goes with what she feels!

You must travel to some wonderful destinations for your work. Which have been your favourite places to visit?

I have been very lucky indeed for all of my trips and I treasure every single place I have visited. Every one of them has left an unforgettable memory. New York has its own magic – full of energy and always so inspiring. Paris, Florence, London and Tokyo are all favourite places!

Can you let us know what a typical working day for you is like?

Not one day is the same as the other but usually I get in to the office around 7.30 – 8 and go through all my emails first. I do make appointments with factories to go through their collections unless I am at a Jewellery Trade Show which happens to be at least three times a year.

I look at magazines and do some research online, but this also happens when I am away from the office – I just can’t stop! I also like to take time to go through our customer reviews, which are very important to us.

Are you looking forward to appearing on live TV here at QVC?

I am so excited! There is so much I want to share with our customers. I feel just like a teenager that wants to share her new purchase with her best friend!

Why isn’t Ralph presenting the shows any more? Really enjoyed his shows. Love Honora pearls but it isn’t the same without his input.
QVC let us know why he isn’t presenting anymore please.

I don’t know where Ralph is but I think it is terrible that QVC are behaving as though he was never here. Ralph is Honora Pearls and his fans deserve an explanation. I do hope he isn’t ill.

I would also like to know that Ralph Rossini is ok & in good health, ive been watching Honora shows from almost the beginning, he is one of the reasons ive looked forward to watching, as he was the friendly & SINCERE face of Honora & sorry but the new presenter doesn’t have his warmth…. fans deserve an explanation instead of acting as though Ralph never happened! Is he ever coming back? I don’t want to watch the shows anymore if he isn’t, but either way he deserves some acknowledgement.

I agree. New presenter does not have Ralph’s warmth and charm. Wish QVC would make an announcement. They did the same with Lenny from Nina Leonard. Really object when a long standing and welcome presenter just disappears with no explanation. I’m turning off now too.

I also have wondered where Ralph has gone, you should let us know QVC.

I can’t believe that no one from QVC has come back and said where Ralph not professional at all. Honora shows are not the same without him very disappointing.
