Busy Bunny!!!

I hope you all had a lovely Easter? After my Good Friday shows, I had the rest of the Easter weekend off but far from relaxing I was busier than if I had been at work!

On Saturday I had to have a 'flick around with a duster' as my brother and his girlfriend, Remy, were staying the night with us, prior to flying out to the Philippines on holiday. I made risotto for dinner and also a 'luscious lemon cake', as it was Remy's birthday.

Easter Sunday saw us up early to take them off to the airport and later Sophie arrived so we could all sample our Easter eggs. We had a lazy family afternoon with the footie on in the background while we played games of 'Guess Who'! This is a game my children loved when they were very young, so a couple of Christmas' ago we bought the new updated version, which has sheets of additional 'characters' that you can slot in.

Chris and I kept making mistakes with the characters we were flipping down, which had us in hysterics, and the children rolling their eyes at us – after all it is supposed to be a game for 6 year olds and I promise we hadn't touched a drop of drink at that point!!!!

On Easter Monday, Daniel and I went to watch Crystal Palace take on league leaders Southampton with my friend Stretch. We lost!!! I guess that is why they are league leaders. Then home for a roast dinner, followed by Eton Mess, with our guests Sophie and her new flat mate Gilly, before heading off to the cinema to see The Cold Light of Day. Sorry to say I wasn't very impressed with the movie, although it was nice to see the scenes they shot near our house in Spain… fortunately there was no sign of a lilac clad woman wielding binoculars!!!

Tuesday and Wednesday I managed to get a bit more writing done, so I came into work last night for a rest!!!! I am really looking forward to this weekend as it's our 'Love My Look', fashion weekend. We have got two great TSVs from 'Attitudes by Renee and Kipling, plus footwear from Marta Jonsson and jewellery from Lola Rose.

Also check out our Lingerie boutique shows on Sunday – can't wait to see Jaynie Roberts, the guest for Slim n Lift, for a catch-up!

If you can't wait for the weekend to start, join me at 5pm today when we will be previewing some of the ranges featuring over the weekend,

Much love, Julia xx

Hi Julia just wanted to say you looked fantastic in the o so slim on the Ronni Nicole hour, Your book must be just about finished by now is it or is that wishful thinking?! Your story about Guess who made me laugh. Must be a few years since I played that. Maybe about 20!
Who do Palace play? No great shock you guys lost against Southampton. They had been flying although I have just watched Reading beat them as i type this. Reading have been sensational lately and they look certs now for promotion. Loooks like a two way fight between West Ham and the Saints for the 2nd automatic place.
Hope you have a good weekend and enjoy your catch up with Jaynie. She’s not any relation to you is she?
    Take care xxxx

    Hi Julia,
Yes the yellow maxi dress looked nice on the Ronnie Nicole hour (agreeing with Steven)I managed to get a size 10, will be lovely for the summer also got 2 more dresses, a coral one and a pattered one. Must admit you are looking more healthier over the last 6 months, a bit fuller in the face, you lost to much weight before and now you seem to have filled out a bit.suits you much better.( hope you don’t mind me saying.) Saying that i’m on track for my dress fitting soon, using my Pilates machine a couple of times a week and cycling around. Glad the book is nearly finished, i expect you have enjoyed remembering all the things that have happened a long the way. Looking forward to break in Spain soon, think i might have to go on my own, as Ian is working all hours, but we will both visit spain in July looking forward to that, then it’s back to the wedding planning.
    Have a good week.
    Love Kathy x

    Hi Julia,
Hope you are well, my foot op went ok thanks its the sitting around for 2 weeks that does my head in, got through them now, just have to stand for short amounts of time,Im not one for sitting around, like to be on the go,emailed Marjolein yesterday, to see if she could give me afew tips on building my exercise up,i know she can,t give medical help, she did email me back and told me to start on one cord when the hospital have finished with me,don,t have all the pins out for 4 weeks so still can,t exercise and i do miss it,as i said to you last time my poor eyes are suffering, bought some judith williams products the other week, it had the life long eye gel in it think it was the TSV but sent it back as i could see very little change.I mostly use Liz Earle and Elemis,Just wondering how you are getting on with the new Elemis eye gel,you were trying out,Elemis does seem to suit my skin,Dave seems quite good at the moment, fingers crossed.I will be watching pilates tonight thank Marjolein for her help, she is always very pleasant to watch, and fit as you are, i look dreadful at the moment I think its Daves cooking he is trying to poison me !!! only joking.
    Take care
    Love Di and Dave.xx

    Hi Steven,
Sorry I haven’t been replying to you guys on my blog lately but I haven’t been able to post things when I’ve written them ……… computer gremlins I think!!!
Well we drew with Reading away from home – typical Palace after losing to Southampton at home and then losing to Pompey away ( who are now relegated! ). Our last game of the season is on Saturday – we have Cardiff at home so I will go along to that one as although we now have nothing to play for except pride, Cardiff are still play off contenders.
Thanks for your compliments about my Ronni Nicole outfit – I love yellow, reminds me of sunshine, which we have precious little of at the moment!
Hope all is good with you

Thanks for your reply Julia. I had difficulty posting my post on your blog too. Computer gremlins as you say!
Well we are still in admin and the process is like a never ending nightmare to be honest! Every day we keep getting told there are going to be people putting a bid in and each day passes without much happening. 2 steps forward and 3 steps back!
Enjoy the Cardiff game. Won’t be long til the euros after that. A little bit of interest with ROI and England being there.
Hope you are well and keep being the QVC ray of sunshine! xxx

    Hi Kathy
I haven’t been ignoring you, just unable to post replies for the last couple of weeks! I have put on a few pounds which I agree is probably good for my face but I’ll need to do some extra exercises on my Ab Circle Pro to whittle away the extra inch on my waist!!
Hope your wedding dress fitting went well and enjoy Spain.
Just two chapters of the book now, plus an extra chapter that I wasn’t expecting to write. Should have it finished next week though.
    speak soon

Hello Di ( and Dave )
Only another couple of weeks to go until you have the pins out, so I hope you are bearing up and glad to hear the op went well.
Remember when you do start exercising again take it very gently to start with.
Good to hear that Dave is also doing well …… I hope he’s not trying to poison you LOL!!!!
much love to both of you and hope your year starts to improve from here

    Hi Steven
Well it was a shame that we lost the final game of the season to Cardiff, particularly after Wilfred Zaha’s cracking opening goal, but I guess they had more to play for than we did!
We had a lovely time though.
Hope Rangers get their off pitch issues sorted out.
Who will you be supporting in the Europeans?? I guess I know who you won’t be supporting!
    speak soon

Ha ha you got me there Julia. I’ll be supporting anyone but the two teams that I mentioned in my first post to you! Both England and Ireland’s groups are exciting on paper though
Did you get your computer gremlins sorted then – well obviously you did or you wouldnt be posting 😀
We have our last game at Ibrox on Saturday(hopefully not ever!) and we have a disco/party for our supporters bus after that so Im looking forward to that. We now have a preferred bidder in place so hopefully we will get things moving in the right direction sooon. Its all very complicated to me. Our prospective owner is Amercan and no links to Rangers at all but that might not be a bad thing as Craig Whyte claimed to be a big Rangers fan and look at the mess he created for us.
Im on a half day from work tomorrow so lets hope for good weather and I hope you are well and have a great weekend
Catch you soon and thanks as always for your reply especially with the gremlins you have been experiencing

    Hi Steven
Unfortunately the gremlins are still at work on my personal computer at home, so I have been replying when I am in at work. Have been off for a few days, hence the delay in getting back to you.
I think I saw on Sky Sports that your buyer is looking promising?
I wonder if they are intending to change the kit like the Cardiff City new owners LOL??????
How do you think Chelsea will get on against Bayern?? Amazing that they can suddenly play for this manager – I hope no-one ever treats my Daniel like that or they’ll have me to answer to!!!!
    speak soon

Sorry to hear that Julia. Im missing your goss! Hope you get fixe soon.
I’m sick to death of the takeover talk to be honest. As I write this we don’t seem any close to finding a solution 🙁
I would be fuming if the new owners if we ever got any wanted to come in and change our strip to green for example! I can understand the Cardiff fans sense of anger,
I would love Chelsea to win the Final. My English team is anyone but Man United so I have a soft spot for our fellow blues. Rangers and Chelsea have a few links so I would love to see them beat Bayern. It is the same day as the Scottish Cup Final whcih should be an interesting one as its between Hearts and Hibs. First time for over 100 year the Final is between two Edinburgh teams and you can also add in the fact Hibs havent won it since 1902!! So Saturday should be an eventful day one way or another.
Will you be supporting Chelsea? Maybe Di Matteo just interacts with the players better than AVB did? Its a strange one certainly. AVB tried to chenge too much in a short space of time in my opinion.
Have a fab weekend and hopefully I’ll be a bit cheerier on the Rangers front soon!!
Hope you get the gremlins sorted too
    Lots of Love
    Steven xx
