Bumper blog from The Fox – packed with news!

Dale and ShaneWelcome to a bumper edition of the blog of the fox with breaking news, photos, videos and my usual waffle!

As always at this time of year the QVC schedule is hectic – yes I hear you… "payback time for all that recent holiday you've had Silver Fox!"

First things first – Breast Cancer Care Show – WOW!

I hope you were able to join us on what was an amazing night. Everyone involved and I, include your good selves in this, were simply A May Zing (apologies Craig R-H). It will be a little while before the actual total raised is known but I believe that the figure will be well in excess of £300,000!

On top of that, the evening was such a great event to be a part of – so a massive thank you to and from all involved – your efforts will make a difference! Charlie, Debs, Will and Craig had the difficult job of keeping things running smoothly on camera and made it look so effortless.

This year, all I did was answer the odd auction line call (there were a couple!) and schmoozed with the likes of Lisa Snowdon, Simon Wilson (who was hilarious in the green room), Shane Lynch – shown above, Flavia and Vincent, Andrea McLean, and Jonathan and Charlotte.

Plus my fellow presenters including the tireless Ali K (who kept running all night between the studio, auction line room and the green room (for the odd cheeky top up), dozens of our lovely on-air guests and suppliers etc etc.

I thought the finale with Jonathan and Charlotte singing and Flavia and Vincent dancing was absolutely superb and a fitting way to end the show.

BREAKING NEWS… for Céline Dion fans her new album 'Loved Me Back To Life' is now available for pre-order from QVC – there are 2 item numbers as we have the option of a Deluxe CD which includes 2 additional bonus tracks from her Sell-out Las Vegas extravaganza and 4 Collectable Postcards.

Enjoy watching Céline talking about and singing the title track from the Album.

[Having trouble viewing this video? See YouTube's Help page]

I'm pleased to tell you that excerpts from my Interview with Céline recorded in Palm Beach, Florida will be shown on this Saturday's Saturday Night Gifts ! But if you'd like to order now, here are the Item Numbers:-

Loved Me Back To Life CD (13 Tracks) : Item 504 584 QVC Price £9.99 P&P included!

Loved Me Back To Life (Deluxe CD) (15 Tracks + 4 collectors postcards): Item: 504 583 QVC Price £11.99 P&P Included!

The albums will be released in the UK on November the 11th. So why not place your advanced order now and then sit back waiting for QVC to do the rest !

As one of the privileged few outside of Sony Music that have heard any of the tracks (other than the title track) I can thoroughly recommend either option for all Céline fans. I also believe, because of the brilliant mix of writers and producers who worked with Céline on this long awaited album, she will attract many new fans to join the millions she has already around the world. Only time will prove me right or wrong on this.

The Boys are Back in Town

Talking of Saturday Night Gifts! The Boys are Back in town! Although Marverine did such a great job on the last show, Will I.T has returned with Ali Young from the US to once again regain his seat of power in the SNGSMNC! (Saturday Night Gifts Social Media Nerve Centre)!

OK, he'll be perched on a sofa in the green room, but we'd love you to join in on Twitter @qvcuk #QVCSNG , Facebook, Text & Email .

You can always include me or follow @dalefranklintv but during the show make sure you direct your tweets to Will if you want a shout out.

We've got a great show lined up, as well as Céline we have an interview with Andrea Begley – winner of BBC1's 'The Voice', a brilliant TSV from Ciaté , Xbox 360, Bose, Eyeko, Peony, Slankets, Kipling, Louis Barnett Chocs and more – see What I mean!!

Christmas Gifting made easy – join Will and I at 8pm this Saturday #QVCSNG !

On Sunday night into Monday – I'll be making your Christmas dining easier as well with the launch of our Green Seasons Festive Meat Selection Hamper.

It's delivered to your door in December with a wonderful selection of UK sourced turkey breast, top side roasting joint, gammon roasting joint, green streaky bacon rashers, 16 pork, apricot and chestnut chipolatas and pork, cranberry and chestnut sausage meat Mmmmmmm!

The selection is delivered frozen in it's own polystyrene 'cool box' packed with dry ice – It can be put straight in the freezer until the big day or if you can't wait just defrost thoroughly in your fridge and cook.

If you can't join me at midnight then try and catch episode three of Andi's Kitchen later on Monday at 7pm – Andi and I have been getting some great feedback from many viewers – I'd love to hear from you in the 'comments section' below if you have seen either of the first two shows and would like to share any feedback.

The show will be featuring the Green Seasons Today's Special Value and will have a healthy dose of banter as per the first two shows.

Family life is interesting at the moment with us all leaving the house in four directions most days – Tracey and I actually managed a meal out together last Saturday evening, before we went to see my daughter sing on stage with classical crossover trio "Blake" – she was part of their backing choir .

A great evening – the boys did a meet 'n' greet in the interval as they had to race off straight after to perform at a Breast Cancer Charity event at the Dorchester Hotel. The next day we watched my son's rugby team win handsomely and he kicked a few points – so a good family weekend – hope yours was too. If it wasn't, let myself, Will and guests, at least try and put a smile on your face on Saturday Night 🙂

Just for funWith this in mind, I thought I'd use a photo taken from Andi's Kitchen for this week's 'Just for Fun' photo caption – remember to keep it clean!!

Thanks for reading and hope you can join me at some point over the next few days – Stay safe and warm with the Telly on !
Dale x

Ere I am D! Sorry it’s taken a while but I’ve had to read your Blogathon in four easy play instalments!
That Celine clip is FAB U LOUS DAH LING! (I LOVE Craig R-H … although he was way too nice this week, did you see him? I reckon he’s had a personality replacement as well as a hip!!) Anyhow D, Celine’s new CD has gone on me Christmas list.
You and Andi in the kitchen then. Can’t say I’ve watched much up to now. I’m trying not to watch too much at the mo D cos I can’t stop meself buying stuff! Still got two instalments left on me new bed UC! I turned you on the other night (I wish eh G!!!) for a few minutes and it looked fun though. I’ll be back watching with a vengeance soon enough. I spend quite a bit of time in the kitchen …. I cook with wine. Sometimes, I even add it to the food!! My hubby’s always moaning about me cooking D. After we’ve eaten, he doesn’t brush his teeth, he counts them!! I ask ya! I asked him to take the trash out last night. He said “You cooked it, you take it out”!! Would ya Adam an Eve it D??!! I’m still trying to bake a cake from two weeks ago. The recipe says “separate two eggs” but just how far d’ya reckon I need to separate em?!!
‘Just for Fun’ is a hard one!!!! Best I can do is:
‘Oh gawd …. I think he’s figured out who ate all the pies”!! Or
‘I don’t think he’s too keen on me suggestion to change the name of the show to ‘Peters and D’!
At least I kept it clean D! Speaking of which ……. where’s me last comment gone from your previous blog??! And, I have a sign in my kitchen which says ‘Keep your kitchen clean …… eat out!”

Whoooooooops ……….. don’t worry D, I’ve caught ’em. All that name dropping D, really!! Only teasing, you aren’t the only one whose a big tease yer know. Thought I’d come out to play cos don’t like seeing you on yer own out there D. I did watch the BCC show and got quite teary once or twice, especially when the gorgeous Ali welled up. Well that was it, I so wanted to reach through the screen and hug her. Don’t sulk D, you could have had a hug too. And then when Charlie mentioned the gorgeous Amica and showed all those clips, well that was me gone. I thought of lovely Beulah too that evening.
Loved Me Back To Life is a beautiful title for a song; beautiful words, love it. I did manage to see you and yer chipolatas. I’m a sausage girl myself; if yer gonna have one it may as well be a big one (sausage Ma, sausage).
So your daughter isn’t only gorgeous D, she sings too, how lovely. I made up a singing game once Dale. Its a bit silly, of course, but a laugh once you get going. You must all take it in turns to sing the Star Trek theme. You get to a point where you have to hit some really high notes and that’s when the fun begins. You really must try it sometime. It puts a smile on my face just like you do D. Well, that’s enough flattery for now D. Hope that gorgeous Toby is well.
    Moi xx

Silly me, I completely forgot about the ‘Just For Fun’ competition Dale. I’m not sure what’s in your hand, but I’m making my comments on the assumption that it’s a tablet. It is hard but here goes:
Keep talking Andi while I check out the football results.
Are we nearly finished, these high heels are killing me.
Don’t look now but something’s just popped up (behave G & M). There’s a periscope just popped up in the right hand corner of the screen !!! People will go to great lengths to watch this show Andi.
I’m just writing next weeks menu Andi: sausages, steak, chicken, kebabs. boiled bacon, chipolatas, lasagne, turkey, ice cream, apple pie, crumble ………………..,,,,,,,,
Sorry if it’s not a tablet you’re holding Dale xx

Not so sure that is a tablet you’re holding Dale, which makes me look very silly, but that could be your next comp., ‘Guess what I’m holding’. Keep it clean Ma!!!

I’m really thinking that isn’t a tablet you’re holding Dale, which makes me look quite silly but, hey ho, that could be your next comp. Dale: ‘GUESS WHAT I HAVE IN MY HAND’ (keep it clean now Ma) xx

Calm down G! D, can you give er that tablet pronto like!! G, you’re in the wrong place if you’re worried about looking silly! Anyhow, I thought we’d stopped caring ages ago!! Keep taking the tablets sweet cakes!! D, is it me or are there no words to the Star Trek theme?!!

  8. Gail October 31, 2013 at 10:15 am -  Reply

Who mentioned words to the Star Trek theme? You knew what I meant, didn’t you Dale? Hum it or sing along as in la la, la la la la la …………. Come on Ma you knew what I meant. She’s only jealous cos she didn’t think of it D!! You live in la la land Ma so it should be quite easy for you to join in. Ma, I may look silly but I never worry about looking silly.

    Me again D!
I fear I might have upset Gailey and so I must apologise. So sorry if I’ve offended you G …. I’d never do so intentionally. It’s just that my tongue is permanently in my cheek on D’s blog and I get carried away …….. a lot!!
As penance for my mis D meaner, I’m currently singing the Star Trek theme at the top of me voice …..
La, la la, la la la la la, la la la la la la la ……….. c’mon D, join in ….. you know ‘resistance is futile”!!
