Bridges, beauty and getting back to health

2

Hello!

Gosh, I can’t believe it’s already the third week of January, the New Year is already racing by. And with that of course comes blue skies (sometimes) and the promise of spring not too far away – I hope!

So this week on my blog I want to share some fun photos; the first ones are of a new bridge in the business park where QVC is based in London that links us with the local underground station.

I have always had a thing for bridges so you can imagine my delight when it was finally opened after months of building and it just so happens that the inaugural walk across it was on a beautiful sunny Sunday, just after I finished my morning gardening show on QVC. You can also see my colleagues Nick and Chaz in the photo.

I also went back to the gym for the first time in what feels like months! I actually had joined the gym just before Christmas, as it’s a new one that recently opened near me, but with the business of Christmas and being away for New Year and then also being a bit of a lazy bones so far this year, I haven’t got round to going. It was great to go for the first time and take part in a spinning cycle class – tough work but really good fun and hoping now to stick with it. I often joke with Chloe that she gets in the zone when it comes to fitness where she is very determined so I take my inspiration from her!

An exciting weekend coming up at QVC as it’s our Discover Beauty event with everything on there at a very low £1.95 postage cost and an amazing selection of brands and products.

My particular favourite of the weekend is the Margaret Dabbs Foot Powder & Hygiene Cream (I take great pride in my feet!) and new launches from Covent Garden-based artisan fragrance brand Floral Street which has a beautiful range of bespoke fragrances.

I have been wearing their Ylang Ylang Espresso which is popular with both men and women.

I’m also looking forward to the launch of the ethically-sourced, sustainable beauty brand called The Beauty Kitchen. I’ve met founder Jo Chidley a couple of times and her passion for the brand is wonderful to see, plus the products are really exciting so be sure to join her for the launch show.

So that’s it for me this week. Have a good weekend and I’ll be back next week with another blog to tell you more about my weekend back in Bristol celebrating the birthday of my mum, dad and my niece Jasmine‘s 16th birthday.

Till then big hugs,
Craig xx
