Bradley and Mum Day & Funny Bloopers!

This week – sneaky peeks of the weekend’s deals including the super Amazon Fire DH10 tablet deal, and Bare Minerals gift set. Plus…
Going ‘out out’ for Xmas – #1
First, how lovely it was this week to spend time with my kids. To go on my annual expedition with my lovely son Brad – first to see the amazing play (again) Labour of Love, then supper, then Christmas shopping in Covent Garden. Here’s a little montage of our evening.

I must say I love this little tradition and hopefully we will continue it in years to come – even though he will be a dad himself in January! I can’t believe it’s only six weeks away. What special gifts can you suggest for a new baby? I saw one clever firm is making soft toys out of your favourite baby’s babygrow or whatever – clever idea, eh! It’s supposed to be a girl, but no pink… Anyway at the theatre, I needed tons of tissues as Tamsin Greig’s performance was even more outstanding than usual and once again Martin Freeman was sheer comic genius. Top marks to the actress who played his wife Elizabeth, too – she was superb! I seriously think I have to give this show almost top marks – this time it got 9.75/10, merely losing a fraction for a good but not quite stellar performance from a supporting actress – but the absolutely awesome script carries it into the region of one of the all-time greats. See my review previously on this blog. And maybe I can go see ‘Ink’, also on for a short run, by the same writer. Love the theatre, and loved my day with my son.

Big Move & Lolly Day

Lolly and I both went to help Brad with his latest house move on Sunday too. It’s so lovely to see the family all pulling together to help each other. Of course, they’ve moved a heck of a lot of times! Go to my latest Deb’s Diary blog on my website to find out exactly how many – can you beat it? Anyway I met up with Lolly on the Sunday morning to do our Christmas shopping day – our theatre trip will be still to come! We had a fabulous meal in a restaurant in Guildford and a lovely dog walk. Then after helping with the house move on Sunday night, we met up the next day in Farnham for lunch. I must admit my new resolution to spend more time doing social things with family (since my sis was ill with sepsis and I realised I wasn’t spending enough time with them) is going very well – albeit causing my waistline a few problems! Hehe! No worries, back to Freedom Eating, that’ll solve it. #TillTheFatLadySlims…
I’ve got another nice weekend of get togethers lined up too! More next week.

This Weekend’s Deals

Don’t miss the superb Frank Usher Poncho today (Friday 1st December) – get it here, whilst stocks last.

Also Tonight at midnight join me and telly hubby Lee Hohbein for a superb 10“ tablet deal as we launch this year’s Amazon Fire HD10 Today’s Special Value on Saturday with a voucher for a personalised case, here’s mine – how proud am I?

Me and my Lollypop on one side, on her wedding day, and my two kids on the other. Looks great and gives me a bit of warm fuzzy each time I look at it! Great value too – join us!

Then Sunday sees the return of the Bare Minerals range with our lovely guest, international make-up artist SJ Froom – it’s a superb set that will give you everything you need for a full face of make-up, barring the eye shadow, and a primer if you use it. More on Will’s blog here. Or buy it now here.

Here’s my pic, of the big Christmas collection, including jazzy gold bag and brush, and wasn’t I chuffed to get into work and see this waiting for me this week?! It’s a vibrant fuchsia pink lippy and liner too, love it! I’ve got the show on Sunday evening at 7pm, also featuring Abi Cleeve’s genius Skinsense range. Join us if you can!
And must also give a heads-up to another Saturday Night Show for me – must say it was such fun last week…

Saturday Night’s the Night I Like… As Elton ‘John would say – but last Saturday I had my first ‘Saturday Night Show’ of the season – and guess what?! Apparently they could only afford a budget opener to the show – unlike Dale and Catherine had the last few weeks, according to Will! What fun we had… here’s a reminder of the opener…

And I’m on this Saturday’s too! Wonder what they’ve got in store – find out at 8pm!

Lorraine Sparkle!

We got a mention on the Lorraine show this week too with one of our Diamonique ring! Wow! The word is spreading!

Did you know this happens if you hit your ‘off’ button five times on iPhone?
Does it do it on yours? In case you ever need to subtly call the police – how clever. Do fill in medical info if it’s vital too (allergies etc.) so I guess someone can access only that info without needing your code. Anyone know any more about this, let me know!

Movie Buddy

Me and my Okehampton pal Caitlin had a lovely girlie catch-up and a bite to eat in a very festive town centre just before going to see the theatre – at the cinema! I love it when they do these live simulcasts – it makes me so happy! See below for what we saw. I’m arranging a girlie lunch in Sheepwash on Tuesday 19th too – to raise funds for Medical Detection Dogs, and doing a Secret Santa. What’s your favourite Secret Santa pressie ever? I’ve bought mine already – it’ll be a little Christmas cracker with L’Occitane hand creams in it! Don’t tell the girls!!

Sister’s Decs Day

Went to see my sis Linda too and enjoyed some festive music – courtesy of Alexa! She’s got her whole family into it! We also added the ‘Christmas Movie and Christmas Music’ skills and played a quiz. Well I know what we’ll be doing on Christmas day! We’re all going to hers, as usual – what do you do? And if you’d like to get one, watch out for the superb offer coming next weekend! (see below)

Facebook funny

Getting in the Christmas spirit with Catherine and Marie Francoise from Kipling! Like the tree? Here’s what’s left of our fab tree bargains. When do u get yours? I’m going to get a real one to put up next week I think! Check out the funny boomerang video of what the girls are actually here:

Facebook Vlog of the week
I have to show you this amazingly beautiful day down in Devon this week, as it was a very popular Vlog over on my Facebook page  and just ‘like’ the page to see the updates during the week and the posts giving you the latest early bird links etc! Several to come this week. I do these regular vlogs too – and don’t worry, you don’t have to join Facebook to view them.

Book of the Week
Over on my website is my latest audiobook from the talented Kobna Holdbrook Smith (narrator) thrilling me with his amazing vocal skills and reading the very first ‘PC Peter Grant’ novella, from one of my fave authors, Ben Aaronovitch. More on my Deb’s Diary blog.

Watch 1
Oooooo choices!!!
Battle of the Sexes
First I went with my mum to the cinema on Monday to see the brilliant Emma Stone as Billie Jean King in ‘Battle of the Sexes’ – the landmark match between a veteran male tennis champions in around 1973. I didn’t even know it was a real thing, but Bobby Riggs was indeed a quasi-chauvinist who challenged the women’s tennis number one to a contest and… well you’ll have to watch it to find out what happened! But it’s so atmospheric of the early 70s and makes you remember what it was actually like for women back then – the sex-press would have a field day if it was nowadays! Anyway another amazing vehicle to show off the considerable talents of Ms Stone. Loved Alan Cummings role too! A good 8.5/10 – would watch it again. Highly recommended. Watch out for some of the other top tennis names of the time, and the little photo montage of actual footage over the credits at the end.

Watch 2
A Woman of no Importance
ALSO went to the cinema to watch the theatre showing of– as part of the Oscar Wilde season. THOROUGHLY enjoyed it and some surprisingly good performances too – particularly worth going to see, at cinema if there’s a ‘recorded’ re-run, or in the theatre itself, for Anne Reid who’s performance is also comedy genius – just like Martin Freeman above. She sings, too… I’d never read this particular book although Pygmalion (My Fair Lady) and ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ have always been firm family favourites, so I didn’t know what happens. It’s super. 8/10 (lost a couple of marks for less than stellar performances by a couple of the cast but still good).

There was I, saying goodbye to Nikki from Lola Rose at the end of our two hour show last Saturday, when this happened…

Please join us for another fab Lola Rose show on Friday 8th December when she’s on all day and I’m with her at 7pm for more fun and pre-Christmas bargains, and meanwhile check out the latest offers here.
