What an exciting last couple of weeks it’s been! So much to share in this blog from a trip to Sicily, full on rehearsals, great summer deals and that we are now in single figures as to how many weeks until we meet our newest family member.
Let’s start with the Babymoon to Sicily. We booked a long weekend to Naxos Taormina Giardini, a beautiful coastal town in the south. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for our trip, with stunning views out to sea and of Mount Etna plus a swimming pool at the hotel. The main objective of the holiday was to put our feet up and do as little as possible apart from enjoy the sun and each other. Italy is a great place to visit either with children or when pregnant as the Italians embrace family with open arms and do everything to make you feel welcome and pampered – who doesn’t love that?
Elliot is also part Italian so he always relishes the opportunity to practice his phrases that, if taken from this book, are hilarious. This is a Collins phrase book which is from the 60s and has translations for much needed statements such as “this is a rum go” or “cheese it.” What does that even mean?
Needless to say while in Italy in 32C heat we sought gelato fairly frequently, I am really enjoying using the excuse, “the baby wants it” ha ha. We found this, the biggest ice cream I’d ever eaten in a cone, and yes, I finished it! I love lemon sorbet, pistachio, coconut and raspberry ripple.
You may also notice in many of these photos, that I am wearing the dresses and hat from my last blog. Here is a snapshot of many of the clothes I brought with me including the newest additions from QVC. How many brands can you spot? The Pia Rossini hat (as seen in the photo of me posing on the scooter) literally saved me from the scorching heat. For more of my fashion ideas you can check my Insta.
I really love the summer collections that we have at QVC. Monsoon is now with us and bringing us stunning summer wear. The vibrant colours and patchwork style design of the above dress together with its flowing cut make for the perfect summer maxi style dress. I wore it with the animal print sandals from Bronx which are incredibly comfortable from the first wear. I would really encourage you to look out for our Big Deals on the Style channel, Freeview channel 36. The much reduced price lasts for 7 days and you still get your 30 money back guarantee! Here is a link to next week’s line up.
As a little heads up this week we have a Helene Berman cotton biker jacket. A couple of words on this, be quick! I also love that we have Elemis on another Beauty Big Deal, with a three-piece Summer Skin collection, just in time for the summer holidays. Elemis skincare is a firm favourite in our house and I’ve been using much more from their ranges during my pregnancy. I always feel like I am treating my skin well after using.
You may have also noticed that we have made a few changes at QVC with our Today’s Special Value launch times. We are now launching our TSV at 9pm and then again at midnight. It’s a great opportunity to get in earlier and not miss a good deal, or have to stay up late!
I mentioned last week about the play myself and two good friends, Stewart and Kristin, have created from scratch. We have done everything ourselves from the concept, to writing, producing and performing. There are three of us on stage but really there are four cast members and the one we haven’t met in the big world, won’t be making their appearance for another 9 weeks! (Unless he or she wants to appear earlier…) We are so excited and at the time you may read this on Monday 8th July we be performing our debut show of ‘Escapology’ on July 10th at The Old Red Lion Theatre in Islington. Details are on my social media.
I shall leave finish this week’s blog with a couple of snaps taken by my dear friend Neil Atkins. You can see more of the rehearsals shots he took on my Insta.
Have a great week and looking forward to hearing from you.
Eilidh and the bump!
P.S – Don’t forget to try the Product of the Month from Philip Kingsley. A litre bottle of Rose and Lychee fragranced Elasticizer, I use it regularly and wouldn’t be without it!
