Bernini guest Lorna Ko on their upcoming fountain offer

We’re getting excited for the stunning Volterra Four Tier Fountain coming up on Saturday 18th June from Bernini. Rather than just telling you why we love it, we thought we’d catch up with their Vice President of Brand Development (and one of our much-loved guests) Lorna Ko to find out why you need this fountain in your garden…

Bernini fountainNow the weather is getting warmer and the sun is beginning to be more of a regular visitor, we can start to kick-back and enjoy spending time in our gardens and outdoor spaces. Once you have sorted out your plants and flowers, the next step is to look at accessorising; and there is something very special about adding a water feature to any outdoor space.

I live under the flight path by Heathrow airport and next to a very busy main road, so the noise from the planes and cars can be quite loud. However, once I turn on my Bernini fountain, I find the unwanted noises just drift away into the background and are replaced by the gentle soothing sound of bubbling water cascading from my water feature.

For me, the main positives of this Bernini fountain are that it’s not reliant on solar power (there are no ugly solar panels in sight) and it doesn’t need to be plumbed in or be linked to an external power source because it runs from a very clever rechargeable battery hidden in the pedestal. This battery means my fountain is completely cordless and I can move it around, plus I can use it in the day or night time and it doesn’t have to be in a sunny spot because it doesn’t need solar power.

Our fountains are great for larger or smaller gardens as well as balconies and even inside conservatories, because they are totally portable and easy to move. On average, each charge of the battery gives you a month and a half of use, so that’s a lot of fountain fun without the sun!

In days gone past if you wanted to install a water feature, you would usually need a plumber and an electrician as well as an external power source – which can be both costly and timely. If you went for a solar fountain, you would then need to wait for the sun to come out (which isn’t that often in the UK!) to enjoy the sounds of running water.

With the invention of the Bernini fountain range, all this hassle has been taken away – you just need to add water and push a button to enjoy a water feature on demand and the battery even comes pre-charged for you to enjoy your fountain straight out of the box.

On 18th June we are launching our very latest design as a new Today’s Special Value offer – the Volterra 4 Tier Fountain. We are very excited to bring this to QVC in the UK because it’s the first time we have ever designed a fountain with four tiers, meaning you get 12 cascading spouts of water for a wonderful acoustic effect and added grandeur in the design. We have also added two little lovebirds which you can place on the tiers to customise the look of your fountain and hopefully encourage some real feathered relatives to also pay a visit to your garden this summer!

Here are the four colour options, from left to right: Granite, Bronze, Weathered, and White.

Bernini fountain

Every Bernini fountain is hand finished, which makes it unique to you, and the Volterra has ornate carvings which are reminiscent of the fountains of Ancient Greece and Rome.

The Volterra also comes with a remote control, which means you can have total control of your fountain; the remote even works through glass, wood and bricks so you can operate it from inside the house for the ultimate, luxury lifestyle. Added to this, there is also a range of auto timer programmes, so you can set your fountain to run from one to four hours and then the fountain will switch off by itself (perfect if you’ve had too many Pimms!). If you prefer, you can also programme it to come on at the same time every 24 hours or even run it on party mode which means it will run for approximately 40 hours (that’s quite some party!).

The new Volterra will be a memorable decorative piece for your garden or outdoor space and we really hope you love it as much as we do.

Lorna’s top tips:

  • You can also remove the fourthTier to enjoy the LED light show underneath! We have six LED bulbs which morph from red, green, blue, or white (pictured below) and you can also stop them on your favourite colour at the push of a button
  • Some customers like adding glass beads into their fountain bowls which really catch the light and give some added sparkle

My Bernini fountain which was purchased approx 3 years ago has not worked for the past 10 months. The battery is in working order. It seems that the push button mechanism is not functioning. Is there any way this can be fixed as I do love the fountain.

We bough this last year and we love it. You can take the pineapple top tier off and it comes with attachments but one of them have broke and it’s our favourite one. Can you buy replacement attachments? I’ve looked online and can’t find them anywhere.

    Thank you

Hi, I purchased the Bernini water fountain last year and the only time I used it was to assemble it and test it was working. I have taken it out of the shed this year but cannot find the instructions. I need to know if I connect the wire with the red binding into the Red battery point. I have charged it by putting the Black wire into the Black socket. If this is wrong, could you please advise? Thank you.
