I’m writing this the day after the Royal Wedding, which we watched at our house with our neighbours and afterwards continued the party outside in the garden in the glorious sunshine. What a fun day it was! Unfortunately (and not for the first time!) I realised when I was wrapping cutlery for our “TV picnic” lunch that I had forgotten to buy any paper napkins, and that the only ones in the house were some left over from Christmas. Hence we ended up watching Harry and Meghan tie the knot while using napkins adorned with snowmen and Santas. Ah well… it raised a giggle!
Like many of us, I adore handbags, and I’m very excited now to show you a new bag from Mia Tui. This is a vegan range and the bags all have lots of compartments which means you can be super organised, which I love. Anyway, one day a couple of months ago I was chatting to the lovely Charlotte who brings us the range, and she was telling me she was in the process of choosing names for some new bags (they all have female names). Just out of interest, I asked if they’d ever done a “Jackie” bag.
“Hmmm,” Charlotte said. “We haven’t – but maybe we will now!”
A few weeks later I was beyond thrilled to be told they had indeed named a bag “Jackie”. I finally got my hands on one last week and took her straight out for drinks and dinner. Such a great bag! She has three compartments and can be worn over the shoulder or cross-body, and will be in lots of different colours – mine is the pewter option. The “Jackie” will launch on QVC on Monday 28th but you can browse other styles on the website now.
So – how are you sleeping in this warm weather? If you’re tossing and turning a lot, it might be time to invest in a new mattress, or even a new bed, and there’s a great Today’s Special Value offer from Sealy coming up on Saturday 2nd June. The company has been around since 1889 so they really know beds, and are focussed on healthy, comfortable sleep. They’re bringing us a Posturepedic Gel Supreme 2000 Springs Pillowtop mattress, which you can buy alone or with a divan bed, in sizes single to super king.
The mattress is SO comfortable! It’s got Sealy’s unique zonal support system which supports the areas of the body where our weight is concentrated, which in turns helps to align the spine to its natural shape. There’s also a layer of Geltex, a material which provides pressure relief and is breathable and supportive too, plus Tencel which keeps you cool and dry, and Smart Fibres which are endorsed by Allergy UK for helping to reduce house dust mites. All in all a very high tech mattress, endorsed by the British Chiropractic Association, that will suit all body types and weights.
The divan bed has storage drawers which are very handy, and whether you go for bed plus mattress or mattress alone, Sealy will deliver it straight to your bedroom and set it all up for you. I have a couple of shows on the day… I may struggle to stay awake!
Have a lovely week.
Love Jackie x
