I’m dreaming of a white Christmas (and some winter sun), failing both of those occurring I’ll take a warm cosy home, family and friends, and a roof over my head.
A few things have happened recently that have reiterated how precious life is. Friends who are experiencing tough times with loved ones and family members, plus my own Dad’s bad bout of ill health that seems to be on-going. At times like this we remain positive, stick together, talk about it and be grateful for the things we do have.
Each morning I’ve written down three things that I’d like to achieve, little goals if you like, and in the evening three things that deserves some acknowledged gratitude, it’s really simple even if they’re small wins or things and it really helps. Today I set out to achieve these three things:
- Let a good friend know how much they mean to me
- Sweat hard and enjoy a good spin class
- Buy my Dad a little present he’ll appreciate to make him smile
So far today I’ve been grateful I got to spend some quality time with Ted, grateful that my Dad’s consultant has mapped out an action plan and delighted my friend Cathryn was head hunted for a promotion on the same day she won Miss Slinky at her slimming club.
See it’s easy and even writing it down has made me smile! Lots of positives and lots of gratitude in tough times no matter how bleak.
I love sleep. It’s so good for us mentally and physically. To get the best sleep it’s about routine, having some down time to relax and switch off all those jumping thought synapses in our mind and to steer clear of the blue lights on our phones, TVs and other devices. Often it helps to write down anything on your mind before bed too (more mind strategy).

As well as all of that, isn’t it lovely when your bed invites you in? We’ve hit some fabulous bed linen and bedding here at QVC and some superb interior designers at affordable prices. For a quick spruce up of the bedroom grab one of the upcoming Kelly Hoppen Today’s Special Value’s, her three-piece Bedspread and Pillow Sham Collection.
Great colour choices and an instant affordable fix for a master room or guest suite.
The quality is beautiful as is the pattern, very easy to work with and it feels really good to touch.

At my house naughty Ted likes to jump on the bed so this helps keep those little paws off the sheets, especially in the spare room (although he sometimes sneaks in the bed in the mornings when I get up, but that’s a secret!).
Short and sweet this time, until next time stay healthy, happy and remember to keep smiling.
