Beautiful Beth!

So for those of you who read my blog regularly, you’ll know that I got my first horse earlier this year in February, the lovely Beth.

Pipa Gordon

Having grown up around horses, but never actually learning to ride, it’s been something I’ve longed for, for as long as I remember. It’s had its challenges but I’m loving every second of it!

It’s been such a huge learning curve and Ali Young has been and is an invaluable support along the way as there are so many firsts!!! One huge one was last weekend as it was the first time I put her into a trailer since I collected her in February and off we went to a large organised fun ride… basically a 12 mile ride across countryside that you usually aren’t allowed on, which is all marked out and marshalled. It’s a really really fun thing to do although three hours in the saddle was a toughie, next time I might take some padding!

A few months ago, someone asked me to write a blog on dealing with life in those “middle years”. I haven’t forgotten, but one of the things I would heartily recommend is taking up a hobby, something that gives you a challenge and really makes you smile from the inside out… it definitely works for me!

Much love as always

Pipa x

Hi Pipa can’t believe got Beth Febuary. Where does the time go. You and Beth look the part. She looks good. Think you will get used to it. You need an arnica soak.
    Take care x

    Hi pipa
So inspirational…. Well done you on taking up this new challenge, you look like you and Beth have a wonderful bond and love each other!! Alison will be a great support to you, the best I reckon. I have started to learn the guitar.. Not as strenuous as riding…. I start from scratch and am loving it. I treat my guitar gently and she s very patient with me.. I m up to The Godfather and a beautiful piece from West side story… One hand one heart. My teacher set as a duet and it made me quite emotional…. He s very good even making my music 3 times bigger due to bad eyesight, I m 61!!! Well pipa, k e e p. Riding…
Beth is gorgeous by the way!! Take care, blessings

    Much love

Oh Christine that’s so fantastic!!! Mind you, you have to keep your nails short don’t you? I played for a while and the first piece I learnt was Under The Bridge by theRed Hot Chilli Peppers!! What are we like??! Keep playing, it will give you so much enjoyment and relaxation ….even when it’s frustrating!! xx

Hello Lovely! Your smile says it all!! Beth is a real beauty. Her markings remind me of a pony I learnt to ride on many moons ago. I too would love to get back in the saddle especially as my god daughter now has the bug! Might make this my task for 2017… better than dieting or giving up Prosecco… Big hug to Beth.. My favourite thing when the ponies were rugged up was to stand in front of them put your arms inside their rug either side of their body with their head on your shoulder.. you can tell a pony/horse all your secrets, and one last thing the delicious smell of bran mash!! Big hugs and enjoy xx

Oh Veronica do it!!! I’ve learned that some things are just in our blood and we can’t ignore them! They are absolutely the key to our happiness and fulfilment so even if it’s putting your arms around a horse and having a good deep smell, then do it!! You’ll feel soooo good!!!!! Lots of love xx
