Bank holidays and (BIG!) Birthdays!

4

Hello! Hope you are well and enjoying this cooler weather. I must admit I was one of those people who was wishing away the soaring temperatures but now rather miss them – oh no!

Lots of exciting things happening at QVC as we approach the bank holiday weekend; I have several gardening and DIY shows so do keep an eye out for them. Talking of DIY and home improvements, after a couple of years of planning and saving I have started a refurbishment of my flat.

I live in a 70s block in the area of Borough and have begun a full refurbishment which is really exciting but also really scary! You can see in the photos some of the chaos and building work that has already begun.

Whilst the building work is going on I have moved temporarily to Brixton, a different part of South London, and even though things are rather upside down (I have moved from a whole flat to a tiny room!) it’s great to discover a new part of London. One of my new favourite things is an early morning walk in Brockwell Park; a great open space that looks onto the skyline of London.

Big birthdays to celebrate as well; last weekend I went down to Peacehaven to celebrate one of my best and oldest friends Alexa’s 50th birthday. She hosted a garden party and it was great to see so many friends – happy birthday Alexa!

And another big birthday is the QVC 25th birthday! Lots going on to celebrate, so do keep an eye online and TV; one of the celebrations is a voucher that we are offering – up to £25 off your next purchase.

You can make the purchase any time between now and the 19th of September and postage is included to make up the total – hurrah! Might be a time to stock up on your favourites or buy some Christmas presents nice and early; here are the details.

Thanks again for reading my blog, look forward to seeing you on the weekend and as always big big hugs,

Craig XX

    Hi Craig,

That looks a mighty task! I must admit I can’t stand building work of any type as I find it too disruptive and messy (why do builders never tidy up after themselves??).

I thoroughly enjoyed watching you on the food festival last night and think I may have ordered a few too many chocolates!

Love reading your blog. Take care x

    Hi Craig,
That looks like a lot of messy and expensive work! I can see why you needed to move out and save for a couple of years! Eek. Hope you’re happy with the result though it always looked gorgeous to me in your photos!
I can’t belueve Alexa is 50! Such a youthful face. Sounds like a lovely party. The London area seems to have heat all summer so I’m sure you’re glad it’s cooler now! Could have done with more ourselves though!
    Take care x

Hi Craig good luck with your building work having lived in a house while we had an extention built and new kitchen etc. I have to say it was worth it. But oh the dust just when you think you have got rid of it all another lot appears. Have fun.
