Bags of style, warmth and lots of tea!

Hello, and how are you all doing in these winter conditions? Even London has got snow and a proper snow fall! I realise many of you in the north will be laughing at the notion that 8 inches of snow constitutes snow fall! I remember back home in the Highlands in the winter not being able to see our car because the snow was so high.
In times like this I tend to do make endless pots of tea and eat crumpets with butter and Nutella and embrace bright colours! I think it’s so important to lift the spirits when the sky is grey and the air is biting cold. So taking my own advice I’ve been painting my nails lots of bright colours of late. I like to do four nails of one colour and one nail a completely different colour.

Acid brights like pinks, yellows, lime greens and tropical orange are all popular colours now and going forward to summer 2018. Check these out from Nails Inc. I love anything with a unicorn! As you can see above, I even have a little pony in my car (this is me cleaning the car the other day). Sooo cute! And one of our Big Deals is from Nails Inc this week too. Nail colour and art is massive and it’s a great way to add personality to your look.
The other way I like to brighten up my wardrobe is putting a pop of bright colour in my jumpers or T-shirts under a little jacket. One of my faves is from Ruth Langsford’s collection. These lightweight V-necks are perfect for putting under jackets and will look gorgeous in the spring or summer with jeans or even tucked into a pencil skirt. I’ve just ordered this one in Lime.
We thought you might also like a colourful little parka in a pocket, but don’t forget it’s only that price for a week. We had such fun filming the little clip with Glen Campbell. Whenever Glen and I work together we can’t stop giggling. Watch how quickly he packs the parka away!
I thought you might like to see this little guilty pleasure handbag collection I’ve been purchasing recently. I may not have told you but I’m a bag and shoe fanatic! Always have been and I 100% take after my darling late grandma. The black one is the newest addition with a gorgeous touch of faux pony hair, from Pia Rossini, the grey with the flash of bright pink is from Mia Tui this is perfect for the days when you need everything in your bag and we all know what those days are like don’t we? Then we have the cutest little bright yellow leather bag from Amanda Lamb, who is such a cool designer, not to mention a lovely woman in person.
On a slightly different note I had my mum come to stay last week which was lovely. Spending time together is always such a treat! In between chatting non-stop we managed to go charity shop shopping in the morning I was looking for an 80s inspired outfit for my friend Hayley’s 30th. I found a bright jacket with lots of colours which was perfect. Later we cooked yummy spicy chicken with harrisa, roast vegetables and wild rice which is one of my favourite dishes and then we watched Saturday Night Take Out featuring our very own Craig Rowe who is a dear friend of mine. He was absolutely brilliant! A huge well done to him and Amanda and not forgetting our fantastic crew here. They are a truly ace team!
Before I head of for that umpteenth cuppa do you have a garden? Then you may like these beauties in our new Big Deal.
Keep warm, and if you know someone who may be struggling in the cold, a little phone call or a visit can go a long way.
Sending warmth to you all.
Eilidh xx

Hi Eilidh. I was watching you on the style channel last week and you were wearing a fabulous necklace in a ‘bib’ style. It was a double row of black crystals and a lower row of black tassels. Is it available on QVC?

Hey Jo,I know the necklace you mean and yes I did get it from here. However I think it was from an old line from French Connection that we used to do. Bibijoux do necklaces with interesting designs if you like the slightly boho chic look.Hope you find something and thanks for getting in touch.X
