Who ate all the pies? Well … QVC staff


Next Thursday 9th February is our Food Around the British Isles event, a celebration of where some of delicious gourmet meals and sweet treats are baked, boiled, reared, and raised.

We’ve done the legwork for you, sourcing the best produce from talented Brits all over, and placing them on your plate for the tasting.

To celebrate this food appreciation day, we took a closer look at The Real Pie Company’s Today’s Special Value pie and pasty bundle, and the nation’s love for these pastry-based goodies.

From cockneys with their liquor and mash, to Mancs with their pie barms (a pie in a bread roll – yes, really) the humble pie has been a steady staple of the British diet, so we wanted to find out how we eat our pies from one corner of this island to another, well… from one corner of the Q to another, anyway.

We summoned team Q to share their condiment conditions and ritual requirements when it comes down to PPS – Pies, Pasties, and Sausage (rolls).

    My mouth watered the whole way through that video! I always cut my pie in to slices before I eat and I dunk my sausage role in ketchup, yummy, pasties are a posh knife and fork with no condiment …. gosh, I’m so hungry now and it’s too late to go shopping.
