Middle aged woman found blubbing in street after spending ages priming, buffing and blending.
What on earth does one do? I am currently attending interviews and need to appear, to some degree, polished and confident. Combine the current weather with my timely hormonal flashes, I can actually feel my best laid plans and efforts sliding off of my face. Not a great confidence booster, and I’m sure some interviewers have suffered the interaction with a low-budget Hammer horror extra!
    Love ya both lots!!!

Hi Alison, I am contacting you for some advice on behalf of my mother. My mother is 50 years old and has a South Asian complexion. Luckily wrinkles are not an issue but she has very uneven skin tone. She has dark patches on her face and its very dull and dry. This has only just come about in the last couple years. It is also starting to get a little saggy but this is not really much of a concern. She is primarily very concerned with the very dark patches and dullness.
Please can you give advice on what she could use to help with this issue. Unfortunately budget is a consideration, but I do not mind spending a lot on an intensive treatment for first few months that will give visible results and then moving onto a more affordable maintenance routine for the long term.
She is already using Liquid Gold and it is not making a difference. There are so many products to choose from, and it’s really difficult to know which is the absolute best and most effective on discolouration. Please can you advice on the best few products to use.
Also I have really uneven skin texture and I am also using liquid gold and cleanse and polish to exfoliate and it is not working for me. Could you recommend anything else for me? Thanks.
Thank you for your time and I will eagerly await your reply.

How do I ask Alison about cleansing brushes? There are so many and I’d like to know which is best based purely on performance, ignoring the price.

I have hard white spots appearing over my face, what could they be? Why do I have them? And how could I get rid of them?

Hi Alison, I’m 53 and have always had a good skincare regime. Lately I have noticed lines appearing around the lip area. I am also a non smoker. Can you please recommend a product to reduce the appearance of these fine lines around the mouth? Thank you

Hi Alison, I’m 43 and have suffered with Periorificial dermatitis for the last 6 months. I’m a makeup junkie, love my Decleor and use liz Earle however I’ve had to stop the lot to try and get this under control, can you suggest a cleansing routine and makeup that won’t flare me up? Thank you

Hi Alison – Please could you give me some advice for my 15yr old son, he suffers from high colour but his skin is very dry and looks very sore. He gets the odd spot but my concern is his skin in general, it feels very rough when we are putting creams on. I am trying elemis balm on him and ad synergy just to get some hydration into it as the only way I can describe it is it seems to be parched.

Good afternoon Alison. I know you are extremely busy but wondered if you could advise me on this.
I am early fifties with straight near shoulder length hair and dye it a blond shade. My new hair growth is grey/white/coarse and will not flatten. I have what looks to me like short curly frizz on the top of my head.

I have tried some high street products but nothing works.

I have started to use Philip Kingsley shampoo and conditioner, silver incase this helps.

Is there anything you can recommend as I find it quite distressing.

Hi Alison. My 16 year old daughter has problematic/acne prone skin. The doctors have prescribed antibiotic tablets, Lymecycline, and a gel, Adapalene+Benzoyl peroxide. She has tried Liz Earle, but didn’t no get on with this. I wondered if you could suggest another of your product ranges which would be suitable for her age and skin. She has an oily T-zone and dryness else where. Thank you very much.

Plus why is Kayley from Elimis telling people she puts on the cleansing balm then goes into the shower, you are not supposed to wash your face in the shower the water is to hot.

    Yours Sincerely
