An Amazing Line-Up!!

37

I don’t often start my blog talking about products but this week I am going to make an exception and it’s all because of the amazing line-up of products pictured above, which make up the Elemis TSV this coming Sunday. You may already know that this is on pre-order and I’ve noticed on our website that there are already five reviews (as I write this on Friday morning) and they are all five star – if I was allowed to write a review, it would be six out of six five-star reviews. Elemis only launched the Overnight Matrix in the TSV at this time last year and it instantly became my favourite night-time product from their whole range. It’s in a 30ml size and is actually worth more than the entire TSV, so in my picture, the whole of the back row of products comes as a bonus AND you get a useful striped beach bag too!

That back row of products comprises of a supersize of the Limited Edition Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser in the fragrance Neroli, Cedarwood and Bergamot, a full-size Tan Accelerator and a full-size of Total Glow Bronzing Moisturiser for Face. Then you have your Bath & Shower Milk and Hand Cream in your choice of either the Skin Nourishing formula or Sea Lavender & Samphire, both of which are gorgeous and in full sizes. The value is well over £200 and it’s on four interest-free instalments. I’ll be with Keeley for her show at 2 p.m. on Sunday – I can’t wait. There are also some other very exciting Elemis products launching in our shows on Sunday, so I hope you can watch at some point during the day.

While on the subject of TSVs, I ordered two pairs of the Skechers slip-ons last Saturday, one pair in black and one in white. I’m thinking of saving the white ones to wear for a certain beach wedding in Mauritius in August – I really need to start thinking about a wedding dress – it’s only just over four months away!

My life seems to be ruled by deadlines at the moment and one I did make was the copyedit deadline last Monday, although it was by the skin of my teeth as I had a few hours away from my writing desk on Sunday when my friend, Natalie, came round for dinner. She brought me some pretty tulips in shades of yellow and coral (very on-trend with it being the Pantone Colour this season), but they are not so pretty now thanks to Wilfie! He keeps jumping up on the island unit and attacking them for some reason. Maybe I’ll stick to Peony faux flowers in future, which he tends to just tap!

So, as promised here are the new publicity shots that our model, Sharon, took of me a couple of weeks ago. Bearing in mind the primary function will be an author picture, which do you like best?

I had to laugh when I unpacked my choice of tops at Sharon’s. All but two were from QVC and I was wearing my favourite MarlaWynne leggings as well – only now available in 2XL and 3XL, unfortunately, or I would have ordered another pair!

The flowery top is an old Butler & Wilson, the orange is Andrew Yu and the geometric is part of Dennis Basso‘s latest collection, which quite a few of us presenters have added to our wardrobes this year. It also comes in red, which I’m very tempted to get as well. The yellow sweater was high street.

Between all my copyediting and writing this week, I also planted my strawberry plants, last month’s Gardening Product of the Month. I have George Clowes from de Jager coming around to my house on Monday to do a little filming for next weeks blog, so do check back here next week if you’re a gardening fan.

The other thing I finally managed to do was send off my DNA sample to Ancestry UK. I say ‘finally’, because the kit has been sitting on my desk since the children bought it for me as a 60th birthday present – I’m 63 in two months time – better late than never and I’m really interested to see what my heritage is.

I wonder if you have any plans for Easter? I’m hoping my mum will be able to come for her first visit in ages. She was supposed to come at Christmas but she didn’t feel well enough. Fortunately, her health always seems better when the weather is warmer and the days are brighter. I’m so looking forward to seeing her and also to having some chocolate, which I have been avoiding since March 1st – it is going to taste sooooo good!

Hope to see you for Fashion on Friday later today and also the follow-on Fashion on Friday with Julia show on the Style Channel at 6 p.m. – it’s a brilliant line-up today with lots of new styles and a fabulous guest in Lesley Ebbetts.

Have a fab weekend,
Much love,
Julia xx

    Hi Julia

Nice pics. I would say the 3rd one down looks like the most genuine smile and is therefore the most warm and inviting. That pic just edges it for me!

Elemis TSV looks good but I never ever tan and fake tan always turns me orange I’m so pale so two products I wouldn’t use, not for me this time. x
