All things bright and beautiful…

9

…all creatures great and small!

Well, September has been a WHIRLWIND of activity already and it’s only the first week as I write this! The kids have gone back to school, Myles is starting his GCSEs and has ALL his favourite teachers which is a huge relief, Beely has gone into Year 9 with a new spring in her step, the cats are slowly finding their way back into the house after legging it upon Whizz’s arrival and Beth is happily munching in her field glad that the sun has calmed down!

One of the big fixtures in the social calendar near us during the first week of September is Salon Prive organised by Gatineau’s Andrew Bagley and his brother. It’s the most wonderful collective and showcase of some of the finest and most significant classic cars and motorbikes from around the world around the corner from where we live, at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire – that and the lobster lunch, it was SUCH a treat. …and yes of course I did a quick Gatineau treatment ahead of the day, it absolutely called for the Defilift mask!!

So, back to motors and this I believe was the original Bond car, an Aston Martin DB2 and with my middle name being Louise, this was a photo dying to be taken. To be honest, I took gazillions and I know I shared a fair amount at the time on Instagram so I hope I didn’t bombard you too much on the day. I love social media for sharing moments, some obviously are not always shared but lots goes on so make sure you’re following me @PipaGordon as there are way more pics on there than I can put here.

The small world that we live in means that actually, Andrew Bagley, my brother and I all cross over social circles from years before we were at QVC and so it was a perfectly fitting place for my brother to launch his non-alcoholic alternative to gin and I was proud as punch (‘scuse the pun) to be there with him! I also bumped into Ali Keenan who was there with her two gorgeous sons so all in all, it was a fabulous day!

It feels rare at the moment to have a sit down, this is a pic of me outside QVC on the phone between shows earlier today. The whirlwind continues as my lovely Mum had a fall last week and is in hospital currently over in Sussex with a broken ankle – not much fun when you’re already pretty immobile so I’m clocking up the miles on the motorway like you wouldn’t believe right now. …btw very comfortable in my Kim & Co leather look trousers and styled up with my Amanda Wakeley handbag!!

The said handbag above is the Amanda Wakeley Today’s Special Value offer coming up on Monday 10th, definitely one not to miss if you love your bags! I’m a huge fan of Amanda, she’s a great designer and we love having her with us on QVC! But here’s you change to buy it now.

So, back to work I’m going to leave you with one more pic… my favourite car of the day at Salon Prive, one I’ve never heard of before, an Elliot Healey… a relative of Austin perhaps?

Loads of love as always and remember to come and say hi on social media

Pipa x

Beautiful photos pipa! Your brother should be very proud. Funny that you and Andrew and him go back! I’m so sorry to hear about your poor Mum. That’s a nasty injury. Ankles are a nightmare. Never quite the same. Hope she feels a bit better soon. Lots of love x

Hi Pipa, living both your outfits in these pics, the jumpsuit is gorgeous! Like the sound of anything nonalcoholic, not everyone likes to drink alcohol. Hope your mum is on the mend, xx

I thought that photo of you with the bag was a model shot. Looks amazing. Python for me I think. Can’t beat the simplicity of your outfit with that bag.

Dear Pipa, can I say how wonderful you and Ali looked – really classy ladies.
One small comment( totally unrelated to your fantastic day out), regarding a few weeks ago when you were berating the three-quarter sleeve. I am a diminutive 5′ and long sleeves end up about 8″ from my wrist (they tend to get in the way a bit and don’t go too well in the soup either)! – so I have to always have three-quarter length sleeves. moreover, the majority of people push them up to elbow length. If I pushed them up they would become long sleeves!! So, please look kindly upon my short arms. Thank you so much.
