The Gtech Multi Power Floor is a lightweight, cordless and convenient way to clean both carpets and hard floors. It is a versatile cordless stick vacuum that easily transforms from floor vacuum to handheld cleaner. The Multi Power Floor comes with a variety of attachments, which allow you to clean all around the home, including in hard-to-reach places.
As it can be used as both a floor vacuum to a handheld cleaner, you can clean your stairs, upholstery, curtains, car or caravan quickly and effectively.
Now, the normal test for any vacuum cleaner is to try and vacuum the dog and cat hair and if I’m honest all the vacuums are so good now tat they laugh in the face of such adversity, so I had to come up with a more….. strenuous challenge. That came in the form of my shed!
A man’s shed is his domain and although we like to feel there is some semblance of order and tidiness, it usually bears no resemblance to reality.
My shed has been the powerhouse behind many a creation and repair and although a few people have been invited into the inner sanctum, it is really my personal place to escape the stress of family life and indulge in some mindfulness.
Such an art, though, is best practised in an orderly and clean environment, so Gtech to the rescue! As you can see from the pictures, the place needed a spruce up and with the last job being my son finishing off some work on metal legs for his GCSE project, there was a lot of detritus in the form of small disputable and heavy metal.
The Gtech Multi Power Floor comes with a nozzle for general above-the-floor cleaning tasks, a deep cleaning tool for upholstery and a soft dusting brush for those delicate jobs like cleaning the car dashboard and around household electrical equipment. So it was the former of those tools that got the work out.
It’s a lightweight cleaner, weighing only 2.3kg. So it’s easy to manoeuvre into all the areas , even high up above.
Gtech’s unique pending patent air-lock system means the multi power floor is not just great at picking up dust and fine debris but is designed to pick up larger objects too. So all the bits of metal and the old screw head etc got sucked up with no difficulty at all. The shed had not had any loving care for quite some time so it took a while but with a 20 minute run time on a 22v lithium ion battery.
It was more than enough for the job. However, I will just point out that although the GTech is partly charged when it arrives in the box, it needs a few hours to fully charge.
The whereabouts of the charge indicator light, as described in the manual, was a bit of elusive but when I found it (on the handle) it has a rather nice pulsation to it to show its charging and the level it has reached.
Just in case you are interested the spec for my hard hitting tool companion is listed below:
• 22 volts
• 20 mins running time on full charge
• Charging time: 240 minutes
• Low battery indicator
• Total capacity 0.4 litre
• Dustbin full indicator
• Crevice tool, power brush head, dusting brush, deep cleaning tool
• Size H112, W24, D12.1cm
• Weight 2.3kg
• Manufacturer’s 2 year guarantee
The Gtech is offered at a lower price than many others in its field but it is by no means lightweight when it comes to power and performance. My shed was cleaned and looked much better but more to the point it proved, beyond any reasonable doubt, that a cordless machine like this IS not only able to tackle a heavy duty job, but excels in it’s task.
Of course most of you will only ever use your Gtech in the home, with the odd adventure out to the car, but rest assured it will not let you down no matter how big your mess gets.
Join the Gtech team and I on the 28th April when we can show you some of the demonstrations that put this machine into a class of its own. We can also explain the fabulous offer we have for the day.
