Well what a haul! This week I took a trip on my week off, to go to Wales and see my daughter Lauren. She has only got three weeks to go until she has her first baby, my second grandchild. What a big year it has been. She and her hubby Nick moved to Wales in the summer. And they have lots of hedgerows in their fields, covered with blackberries so we picked tons. I may make some jam, or maybe some pies! Can’t wait.
We also had some super celebration meals because it is their anniversary soon. We went to nearby Newcastle Emlyn, where there are tons of coffee shops and cafes. One caught my eye it was called cwtch coffee or something! Apparently it means hug in Welsh! Lots more lovely trips to come in the years to follow I am sure.

Me and my boy
I also saw my lovely boy, Brad with his beautiful baby again this week. Firstly I babysat on Friday, and then he came to see everybody at my mom’s on the Sunday. Little baby Blake is now cutting her first tooth and has started to crawl!
It is a funny little crawl where she looks a little bit like a crab and is still finding her feet… And hands… But it’s another big step in her development. Exciting times!
Spot the cat
Regulars will know I have been playing spot the dog on my blogs! Well this week it’s not Gracie or Daisy but Morph the cat. I was looking after him for some of the time that my brother and his family were away. And he loves to get inside things. Can you spot him…? He is really so funny. One day I came home and called him and he answered me and after 10 minutes of calling and chasing to where I thought the meow was coming from, looking high and low, I found him… Inside my locked bedroom! Where he had been all day apparently, since the other lady looking after the house watered the plants! Oh Morph what am I going to do with you!
Frank Usher special
The other day in a gardening hour I wore one of the necklaces which we have all been given to wear on air, the huge, long length, faux Pearl and crystal necklace – we were experimenting and have discovered at least seven different ways of wearing it! What about you? Get the infinity necklaces in choice of three colours here, and what is more it is a set of two!
Book of the week
I have just started reading The Code Girls by Daisy Styles. It’s 1941 and Britain is at war. The group of three ordinary girls get transported to new lives to help the war effort, but all does not go as planned when they encounter the aristocratic Walsingham family, whose country mansion has been taken over by the Armed Forces. I do love a good period story don’t you?!
My ‘Watch’ this week is a ‘Listen’ instead. The Teacher’s Pet, by The Australian. If you liked ‘Serial,’ the famous podcast about a real-life murder trial, you will adore this Australian documentary, exposing the secrets and lies behind a 1982 missing Persons enquiry… Did he do it? Real evidence is uncovered as each week goes by, since Hedley Thomas the investigator, keeps getting contacted by new witnesses to some of the evil deeds all those years ago. Turns out Chris Dawson the suspected murderer, was a narcissistic psychopath. Regulars will know this is a topic that recurs in my writing. My ‘back to you’ blogs on my website have written in depth about this awful emotional bullying personality. I was gripped by this tale and by some of the real-life interviews and startling new evidence included in the 14-part series that has gripped the nation of Australia this year and is now catching on around the world. And it may be even bigger news in the future… Seriously compelling audiobook series – 10/10 from me.
Blooper of the week – couldn’t help myself on this week’s beauty show! LOL.
