Hello my lovely, wonderful and helpful bunch. Thank you so, so much for your great suggestions for helping Tom with time in my last blog, you truly are wonderfully helpful and kind to me and as we know sharing is the key… I am currently researching various ideas and feel sure I can make inroads for him.
I have to share with you Tom’s latest… as this really made us laugh… once we had sorted it!
I glanced at my phone yesterday to see a number of emails from Amazon. On closer inspection it appeared Tom had asked “Alexa” (the wonderful…maybe slightly less wonderful now… Amazon Echo speaker) to order, wait for it:
Another Amazon Echo
A vintage bomber jacket (like Joe has)
A… flat tweed cap?!!
A set of deodorants
A fidget spinner
A set of wedding favours
A bag of soil!!!!
Quite what he had intended to order with some of the strange ones we have no idea yet… but needless to say once I had frantically cancelled the orders, we have found it quite hilarious. Tom on the other hand has not… and whilst very apologetic, keeps asking when the fidget spinner is arriving!
… Anyone for wedding favours? Amazingly these were already dispatched! My sister-in-law informs me that you can turn OFF the voice ordering, thank goodness!
The weather continues to bless us with its warmth and light, the Ultrasun is part of everyday life, let’s hope I have enough for our trip to Mexico. Maddie is counting down the days.
The lovely Abi Cleeve decided to use her knowledge of these fabulous once-a-day sunscreen formulations to create a brand that utilises game-changing technology. It will be our fantastic Today’s Special Value offer on Tuesday the 17th. Skinsense uses a unique and patented lamellar technology to lock ingredients into the skin so that they work better and for longer.
Lamellar structure technology is composed of fine, alternating layers that form an even bond with the skin, effectively creating a ‘suit of armour’ which not only protects the ingredients but supports the penetration and action of those active ingredients. It’s for those of us noticing the tell-tale signs of ageing, you know those delightful new friends… fine lines and slackening. Can’t say I remember inviting them to become part of my gang! But, heh, they seem to have tagged along!
The Firming Neck and Décolleté Cream (which is so well reviewed), the powerful Highly Potent Night Cream, the Restorative Eye Cream, Highly Active Day Cream AND the all-important and new targeted Redefining Contour Concentrate are all in the TSV, and the money you are saving is fabulous.
I often think we should stagger our skincare purchases, as to replenish the full set in one go can be crazily expensive so I often suggest to friends to get the day cream at a different time to the cleanser and the night etc etc, that way we don’t need a mortgage each time we run out! That said at just over £40 for the collection it’s so worth stocking up on as Abi doesn’t have another TSV planned this year from Skinsense (little heads up for you there)! I’m popping the new Concentrate on under my day cream as a little extra boost to support the… let’s just say, softening round the edges of the jaw line!
Maddie had a super dirthday and celebrated with a pizza party in our garden with her girlies. Dan and I kept getting “the look” when we were supposedly being too touchy feely, too dancey/ too embarrassing ‘parenty’!! Blimey, think we should have just left them to it, trouble is they needed help of course with the pizza oven and its raging inferno, oh and let’s not forget the putting up of the tent! Hmmm, funny how those bits are forgotten.
Where did my little one go too? And in the flash of an eye. Actually we did spend a lovely time together at my niece’s hen do.
Pips is marrying in August and Maddie is one of her bridesmaids so was invited to join in the shenanigans, quite an eye opener for a 14 year old!
It was great fun and super lovely to see my nieces on fine form (that’s because we didn’t attend the debauched Friday night, with far too much consumption of alcohol…) we had a day of refined activities with Pilates and headdress creating. Here is Tom sporting mine… who wears it better?!!
We did wedding dress making out of a loo roll – my team won, competitive? Me? Luckily our bride was weeney so the loo roll went a long way! There was also a gorgeous afternoon tea complete with special cakes, okay I admit I didn’t make them!!
Come the evening when the tequila came out, it became a different story entirely… we can’t wait for the happy day to arrive and to see my brother again as he is over from Singapore for his gorgeous daughter’s wedding, so we will be complete.
I shall so look forward to seeing you on my shows on Tuesday and Wednesday.
