Just a quick blog this week – firstly, I hope you are all as well as can be expected, as the rain continues to fall. Again, my heart goes out to any readers affected by this record breaking deluge.
As you probably heard me sniffling my way through the Safety and Security hour last Thursday, it wouldn't have come as a surprise to learn that I bowed out of my planned on-air shift for Friday.
I couldn't stop sneezing – I'm talking comedy style, you know the over-acting Brian Rix 'Whitehall Farce' style sneeze that brings down ceilings and slams doors. Well, it was comical for a short while, then mildly irritating, then a serious threat to my relationship with both family and neighbours!
As luck would have it, I had a four day shift break and by the time I returned on Wednesday was pretty much better, a little hoarse but no sneezing – yayyyy!
On Thursday evening I had the pleasure of launching today's exciting Jewellery Day, with all on-air items on 3 Easy Pay and featuring the stunning Today's Special Value Bibi Bijoux beaded necklace. Later today I'll look forward to presenting the stylish, iconic designs from Links of London. Then, an hour later…
If you have PCs at home and Android smartphones or tablets, you might like to join me at midnight for a fantastic Today's Special Value (TSV) from computer and internet security experts Panda. The TSV offers award winning Panda Global protection for up to five devices, including your Android smartphones and tablets, for five years (only available at QVC)!
It offers a whole host of features including protection against spyware, phishing, and trojans etc; as well as offering parental controls, password manager, identity protection, anti-spam, Firewall, and much more. It is presented on a 4GB USB stick and, needless to say, our offer is amazing value. So if you run PCs or Android in your home – join myself and Tony Limrick midnight Friday, into Saturday, to find out more.
Me buddy Charlie tells me that his daughter thinks that Toby is really a man in a dog costume? Looking at the Xmas hug at the top – she's got a point!
We've just had our new publicity shots back – they are quite a different style from our previous traditional 'portraits' – I think they're a very stylish concept, but what do you think of the new look?
Till next time – stay well, safe and as dry as you can
Dale x

Stand by yer beds, I’m on me way out. Can’t play hard to get anymore D as I can feel you willing me out, so ‘ere I is 🙂
That first photo of you and Toby is lovely, sooooo cuddly and snuggly and Toby’s cute too. You really love your dog don’t you Dale, it really shows. Lovely to see. We loved our dogs too and my husband actually slept on the sofa with one of our dogs for the last three years of his life (my dog that is). He was blind and 20 years old and so my dear husband slept with him cos he was no longer able to get on and off the bed. Only time I’ve ever seen my husband cry was when we lost our much loved dogs. The only time I cried too was when we lost any of our animals and, believe me, sometimes I’ve had a lot to cry about.
Anyway D, do you remember when a couple of blogs back I threw a grenade. Just for the record, I did apologise to M the very same evening and we are still the best of friends, that was until Christmas. Now she’s got the hump cos she thinks I’m your favourite!!! Oops, there goes another grenade :). That’ll get her out D.
Well, most go, things to do and people to annoy.
PS, will u b my Valentine? Oops, there goes another one – DUCK.
Au revoir
Moi xx
