A playful retreat, Caudalie & summer fun for kids

Hello! Hope you are well and enjoying summer so far.

I’ve had a great week and, as always, it’s a blessing to have such enjoyable experiences and then be able to share them with you.

This past weekend I went on a country retreat in Sussex. The theme was ‘Adventure Playground’, with the aim of putting us back in touch with the playful energy we all had as children. There was singing, meditation, dancing, reflection and a real sense of solidarity.

On the final morning we put on a show where we donned masks and explored different characters from childhood fairy tales. It was an amazing weekend I will never forget, and the sun shone throughout – hurrah!!

I also last week took a little trip to the Caudalie store in Covent Garden. It was such a hot day and I had run out of one of my favourite skin spritzer products, so went to the store to grab a new one for the hot weather.

The staff there – treatments expert Holly and store manager Jean-Axel – are both so friendly and knowledgeable, and when visiting the store you really do feel like you have escaped to the vineyards of Bordeaux!

While I was there I also bumped into a lovely lady named Sarah Ann. Now Sarah is most definitely an up-and-coming blogger if ever I saw one. She loves her beauty products, clearly has an artistic eye (meaning great pics), and from the looks of things, has a real aptitude for baking. The perfect combination! Take a little look at her blog, and if you’re on Twitter you can follow her there too – @sarahaannn.

Finally I mentioned last week that I had been filming a children’s TV show. I can now tell you more…

Named the “The Let’s Go Club”, it will be on CBeebies every Saturday morning at 9.30AM. It’s a special summer holiday club filled with loads of ideas for little ones around the ages of 5 – 7 years old. So if you have children or grandchildren of this age, maybe I will see you there!

My co-presenters (left to right) are Joanna, Abe and Kirsten. We get on really well and have such fun together, and as I am the eldest one they have affectionately nicknamed me “Pops”. Haha!!

Thanks for reading my blog and I look forward to seeing you on QVC after being off for an entire week! I’m back on air Friday 10th July for the whole weekend with beauty, cooking, Diamonique and gardening galore – oh how I LOVE my job!

Big hugs to you and thank you so much for your comments – I love reading them and reply to them all!

My sick daughter watched the telly today and saw an ad for the show and shouted ‘Mama, Craigy’s on the telly!’ I was a bit baffled at first because of course you were on the telly, where else would you be. Took me a while to work out she was watching cbeebies and not QVC which is normally on!! 🙂 Think you’re fab in this house, we do!

Hi Craig, was lovely to spot you on cbeebies the other day as hadn’t seen you on qvc for a while. The show looks fab, was watching with the disabled 12yearold boy I PA for. He particularly loved the dancing (he did a bit of freestyling) and when you were showing the website stuff (he really likes expressive people). Shame it ain’t on during week (e.g the clangers slot: He’s had a bit of a sense of humour failure with them) Good luck and see u on qvc again soon
