A peek at what’s coming up on QVC this week

ZalzaHi all,

Well Easter has come and gone and we're all looking forward and hoping for warmer weather – at the Q we've recently changed our graphics and have started to offer Birthday treats as this year is a big one for us being 20 years old.

As I was saying during Founders Weekend just past, we actually started on air 20 years ago this October. Perhaps nearer to October I'll be blogging about some of my favourite moments and asking you for yours!

I'm into my 16th year at QVC and I can't believe how far we've come, it's great to look at the schedule every week and see the great brands and celebrities we now have on-air – this week we have the irrepressible Russell Grant and the stunning dancer Flavia Cacace with their Zalza Dance TSV – Sadly I won't be busting any of my famous "Dad Dance" moves with them. As Brucie would Say and I confessed to Bruno Tonioli – Flavia is my 'favourite' on Strictly and I have fond and entertaining memories of working with Russell many times in the past.

Lisa SnowdonI will however have the great pleasure of working with the glamorous Lisa Snowdon on the premiere of her new Diamond Collection – I hope you can join Lisa and I on Sunday the 21st at 4pm.

I've had a peek at some of the designs – they are well worth tuning in! I haven't had a chance to properly meet Lisa yet, although we did say a quick hello, a few years ago at a Breast Cancer Care Fashion Show.

In common with QVC, BCC is a charity I believe Lisa has supported for some time.

I'm launching Saturday's TSV on Friday Evening – It's a brilliant new design from Lenovo that gives the user a tablet and powerful laptop experience in one compact unit, without the screen and keyboard coming apart! It has an impressive spec including Windows 8 – join Lee Hohbein and I at midnight Friday to find out more.

What's in the thought bubbleThis week's photo comp is a corker – It shows Floor Manager Dan with Richard Jackson – two minutes before going on-air.

I thought of several comments – here's one for starters 'Richard are you actually going on-air with your security pass?'

Good luck and remember, as Marian will tell you all comments are moderated He Hee!

Have a great week Dale x

Funny ha ha D! I’m pleased you find my moderation experience so amusing!! Off we go again then!
Right, how about this for a caption:
“C’mon RJ, pull your green finger out and find that photo of Ma’s big ones for the show”!!
Well said Floor Manager Dan!! OK, now I’ve got that off my whatsit, here’s another:
“Richard, stop aarrrrrrrrrrgggghhhhhhhhhhh looking at that root system, we’re on in two minutes”!!
    And another:
“Now RJ, don’t get deMOWtivated just cos we’ve CUT LAWN Magic from the show”!!
And one more (for now at least …….. I seem to be on a roll D):
“Two minutes to Jacko…..snory Richard”!! Only kidding D, I love RJ’s shows although I would like a little change every now and then. ‘Pants and Hours with RJ and Triple A Dale’ would be good where you could wear those short shorts and me and Gail could get to ogle at you for hours!
Back to RJ then. I’d love an RJ garden gnome and I bet I’m not alone! (There I go again with my poetry D!!) Ask RJ to do a gnome that looks just like him, wears a T-shirt with ‘Flower Power’ on, and says “Aaarrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhh, look at that root system” when you turn it upside down! Crackers or what!!
    L8’ers xx

    Hello Dale, hello Ma.
I’m always game for joining in so here we go with the captions. Ma, we are definitely on the same wavelength as my first thought was about your photos, honest. Here are some more:
“Too late to be checking yer water feature now Rich.”
“Is that one of our necklaces you’re wearing Richard?”.
“My mum says she remembers ‘Flower Power’ the first time round, when ‘dig it’ had nothing to do with gardening.”
Hey D, I’m making me own games up as I go along. Hows about a limerick?
There was a presenter called Dale
Who went for a drink with a gal.
He said “What drink for you?”
She said, “Make mine a brew,”
He said, “You’re a cheap date, have two.”
I think a good hour Ma, for a change, would be DALE IN THE BEDROOM WITH HIS HIGH TEC TOYS – C U T

D, I’m back for a bit. Thought of a few more things to put in the bubble:
“Are you sure you haven’t got anything to get rid of Dale’s pests.”
“My Mum was so excited when I told her I was working with you Rich. She said she loves all your songs, especially Tutti Fruitti and Good Golly Miss Molly.”
On a serious note Dale, have you read Richard’s blog about his wonderful Dad? My word, what a wonderful blog about an amazing man with an amazing story to tell. Everyone should read this blog (November). If Richard does read your blog Dale I hope he will give his Dad a big, big kiss from me and an even bigger THANK YOU. Okay, you can have one too D x
I’m ‘orf to feed me foxes x

    Hiya D, hiya Gail x.
One more for the road then D:
“Can I have a go with that Spray and Grow when you’ve finished with it RJ?”!
Just read RJ’s blog about his dad, what a hero.
Lots of love my lovely friends

It’s me again 🙂 Oh no I hear you cry!! You were right D, your photo competition IS a corker. The comments for the bubble keep on coming, so here’s another two:
“I wonder if Richard has ever had any trouble with his hanging begonias”
(Blame D Richard and Dan, he keeps encouraging us x)
    Right, another one:
“Rich thinks I’m stupid telling me that we sell Foxgloves. Whose ever seen a Fox wearing gloves?”
I can’t stop laughing D, I just love that last one. Dan, I’ve never seen any of my Foxes wearing gloves if that helps!!!!
    LOL xxx
Ma, I was edited too, ha ha xx
