If this is the first time you have reads my blog this year may I wish you a very happy, healthy 2019!
It’s been a really busy start for me because I moved back into my flat just before Christmas. It’s been a refurbishment project I started back in August of last year and I am hoping it will be finished in the next couple of months. I will post some more photos soon. I have almost unpacked most of my bits from storage and been busy stocking up with useful goodies from QVC. This is one of my kitchen favourites – the Joseph Joseph DrawerStore Compact Cutlery & Compact Knife Organiser. I showed it on-air a few weeks ago and knew I’d have to buy it!
A quick mention about Christmas and New Year; I worked through Christmas at QVC, always a fun atmosphere and I also took a two-day trip to Bristol to see the family. Here I am with my two younger nieces on Christmas Day in their matching pyjamas – too cute!
I was off for a few days over New Year and took a trip to Sussex for a yoga retreat organised by my friend Emma. It was wonderful – five days of yoga, meditation, roaring fires, country walks and delicious vegetarian food.
I also took my new QVC Neom purchases with me and enjoyed nightly candlelight baths (along with my Bose Soundlink Micro Speaker for relaxing music!) and did the full sleep routine of face oil, pillow spray and hand cream. Slept like a log! The retreat was a wonderful way to end one year and start the next.
The fragrance is called One Together and recreates the fragrance of the ‘Miracle Flower’ – a flower that changes its colour and scent throughout the day and evening, a fragrance never before used at Yankee Candle! It’s floral, yet woody with the warmth of amber and is a harmonious, enchanting fragrance. In the set you get a large classic jar and a large two wick tumbler. I was struck by the fragrance, colour and unique design of the jar – a must for us Yankee Candle fans!
Finally a highlight of the year so far is catching up with my friend Iain, he lives in the States and I only get to see him once a year. It’s great how we have stayed friends all these years despite living in different countries – we realised we’d met in 1995… Oh how time flies!
Thanks so much for reading my blog and here’s to a great 2019!
I’d love to know how your 2019 is so far?
