A London weekend & behind the scenes at QVC

Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my blog last week – particularly about my poem – that was really sweet and it’s been so great getting compliments on it.

Last weekend was a lovely, sunny London weekend. I was at work for some of it, which was great fun! I rarely work weekends anymore and that’s one thing I love about my job at QVC, there’s so much variety!

When I wasn’t at work I spent some time with my dear friend Emma at her place (I call it the Healing House of Hackney as it has such great energy). We had dinner, did yoga and had breakfast at our favourite cafe called Crossed Fingers – you can see me standing outside smiling in the sunshine.

I also spent some time in the West End with one of my best friends Javed. We bagged ourselves an outside table at a great little café, where we sipped cocktails, tucked into food and made new friends in the late summer sun – lovely!

And as ever, working at QVC remains a joy – I know I have said it many times but I feel so blessed to do a job I love and still be there almost eight years after winning their search for a presenter! I know how much you like seeing behind the scenes pics, so I hope you like the photo of me, Gill and Carla on the set of the Monday Morning Show. Poor Anne wasn’t very well, so I presented it alone – but the purple twins, as I named them, kept me company!

The other photo is from a recent training session we ran at QVC UK for colleagues at QVC China. It was great fun and we spent a day showing them how we work and hearing all their stories. I was invited to China too, so watch this space!

Finally, here is a photo of myself and the gorgeous Michelle Mone backstage on Diamonique Day after her hugely successful jewellery launch, as well as a funny video of daring Jackie helping me put on some cufflinks on Diamonique Day – between the two of us we just couldn’t do it. You know what they say “more haste less speed!”

Thanks for reading my blog and please do post a comment below, I reply to them all.

Big hugs,
