A healthy, happy mind body and spirit is for life!

My day is never without one of my hugest passions.

A fitness regime that keeps me in great shape, a healthy happy mind and a discipline that keeps me focused in everyday life.
It’s never a chore always a dream to do my Pilates workout. I exercise with other fitness forms too to keep the body challenged and ensure other muscles are worked too. Cross training is key to a healthy happy heart too. They often say it gets tougher as you get older and with hitting 50 in July I have surprised myself as I feel better than I have ever felt.

Maybe because I am now reaping the benefits of having kept myself in great shape all my life and not left it too late… But it’s never too late to achieve a healthy, active lifestyle and see the incredible benefits it brings you. You will never look back but you have to want to do it for you and no one but you.

Not a day goes by without someone saying to me “I want your arms!” or “I want your flat tummy.” I simply reply you can’t have mine but with a little hard work and discipline you can have your own. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it.
One of the ways to achieve a lean, sculpted body is by working out on the AeroPilates machine. Start slowly by watching the DVD and gradually build up to what you are comfortable with.
I remember doing my first Pilates workout on the machine and thinking “what’s all the fuss about, it’s so awkward and uncomfortable.” But I stuck with it and years later, I am dedicated to 1.5 hours a day (two if I have time) and then my cardio session ending with a stretching routine. I simply love it.

Over the years I have added the Magic Circle, box and pole, the SpinGym, an ab ball and a yoga block. They all give me a different dimension to my workout so I never get bored. You may want to try adding one of these if you already have the machine. I love my AeroPilates Pull Up Bar too and couldn’t do without my machine being on the stand. If you are a beginner be brave and take that step to a healthier you.

I also live for my green juice each day which gives me plenty of energy and great skin.
Vitamix makes it a treat to make & drink.
Here’s to a healthier happy you!!

P.S. What’s your life’s passion?

This is the first blog of yours I’ve read and it won’t be the last I cannot believe you’re going to be 50 in July I thought you were in your late 30’s I’ve always watched the aeropilates with the lady called marjoline might not be the right spelling and wondered if I could do it im disabled after having a stroke whilst in a coma due to necrotizing entrocolitis as I was in bed for 3 months before I was well enough to do physiotherapy I had to learn everything from scratch from brushing my teeth to walking it took a long time and I spent two years in hospital in January 2014 I was watching QVC when I saw Debbie flint’s btu show and I brought a bodyblade as Bruce said it could be done seated and I’ve been doing it everyday since I got it and its really toned my upper body the problem is my thighs there out of proportion to the rest of my body do you think the Pilates would be suitable for me I can get down that low as long as there’s a pull up bar to help me get up I tried an exercise ball but I just kept falling off and then someone had to help me up lol!!!! Anyway Jill keep doing what your doing as you look fantastic and I can’t believe you’ll be 50 in July!!! AMAZING

The Aeropilates machine was designed for you
Most of the lower body work is done lying on your back where you will be safely supported.
Getting up means rolling to the side and pulling across on the foot bar or screwing the foot at in with the bolts provided and pulling any way you need to
As you get stronger you will GE sble to add exercises and I sm confident you will be able to achieve the whole workout
You may consider the stabs to help raise it off the floor
I want to suggest that you check with your doctor but I am sure he will condone it.
Let me know how else Ivan help

Hi Jill what are the ingredients for your green juice? I have tried several but can’t seem to find a nice combination that I can actually drink.

I look forward to your reply.

Having just read your blog I felt I had to speak up for the less blessed than you sector.
Hardly a day goes by without someone says Iwish I had your arms??
Really, it’s not attractive to be so big headed Ms.Franks, and for someone who is not remotely pretty, and constantly talks over your guests and very often acts so childish, giggling away when someone amuses you in your ear piece, you come across as being without manners as well as looks.
No, I am not a fan, I find you rude and condescending, not to mention big headed.
Imagine being crippled with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 22yrs, having had 17 corrective replacement joint surgeries, and feeling a sense of achievement every time one manages to rise from your bed in the morning even though it is agony.
    Grow up please Ms.Franks.
