Hope you are well!
How is your December so far? I am blessed to say mine has been great fun and because of my now-early attitude to Christmas, I am rather well-organised!
I started the month by attending the Bristol Curry Awards with Saira Khan. She was very kind to invite me and I had never gone to an event like it, amazing venue, fantastic entertainment and so many celebrities, VIPs and even royalty were there, it really was an unforgettable night!
I also last week visited the newly opened London Design Museum in Kensington. The former location for it was Shad Thames in the city and a place which I had lots of wonderful memories of since we filmed an episode of the QVC Presenter Search there.
The new location is wonderful, not as intimate but an amazingly big space with lots of exhibitions. I visited the Fear & Love exhibition all about the future population growth and the rise of the robot – all very scary/ thought provoking! I’d recommend a visit to it if you are ever in London.
Then just last night I went to see Dream Girls the musical at the Savoy Theate, oh wow! The singing, the dancing, the stage show, the orchestra – all out of this world, it left you all breathless and it’s the first time I have ever seen standing ovations DURING a performance!!
So, apart from various wonderful leisure things in London I have of course been busy at QVC, such an exciting time to be here with all the buzz of Christmas. As I am generally more prepared and start Christmas earlier these days, this weekend I put my tree up, wrote all my cards and wrapped all the pressies!
I guess I am lucky in that I have no food to organise since I will be with family at Christmas but it’s such a relief to have it all done knowing I can now enjoy December and hopefully make it to some carol concerts, Christmas parties and see lots of Christmas lights all without panic of last-minute rushing!
If you still need to do some shopping and preparations here are some ideas:
Yankee Candle Hat Box: a great way to give fragrance this year and nothing to wrap, bliss!
Churchill’s Biscuits: I bought two sets of these and they have proved to be brilliant pressies for neighbours and acquaintances.
And finally if you are like me and not a fan of wrapping be sure to stock up on Giftmate bags. Here is a pic of my wrapping from the weekend – doesn’t it look brilliant? All wrapped in minutes rather than hours – phew!
Have a great week and be sure to catch me later this week when Kelly Hoppen and I will introduce a new guest (but not a new face!) to her range at QVC.
