I hope all’s well, as always…
As many of you may have noticed, my Food Fest pal Andi Peters has been down under appearing on iTV2’s “Extra Camp” that follows on from “I’m a Celebrity…Get me out of here!” – I’m pleased to say that he’s back with us this coming Monday at 6pm, for an hour of luxury treats… not a witchetty grub in sight!
On that day we also have a great “Cyber Monday” Today’s Special Value (TSV) from the great motoring brand RAC. We have not one but two individually boxed RAC 3000 Full HD Dash Cams, complete with two 16GB micro SD cards – our buyers have negotiated a wonderful price for this DUO pack at under £100 for both! It’s also available on Easy Pay!
The RAC 3000 simply attaches to your windscreen with the provided suction cup. The long three metre USB cable then plugs into your power socket and automatically records every journey you make in High Definition – taking full benefit of the 4G glass camera lens with its impressive 140 degree viewing angle.
You can record the time and date on your video as well. I have some footage recorded in my car both during the day and the evening. I think the results speak for themselves.

The camera continues to record until it fills the “added value” micro SD card and then starts to overwrite the earliest recordings. However, if you unfortunately have an accident, the RAC 3000 has a “G Sensor” which senses that the vehicle has been involved in a collision and saves the relevant section of recording from deletion.
Of course you can always extract any or all of your recordings each day if you wish, by simply removing the micro SD card and placing in a card reader. Or, by connecting the RAC 3000 to your computer using the supplied USB cable.
I believe the G Sensor feature also works if your vehicle is hit whilst parked, providing the dash cam is powered – this is a feature I wish I had been able to take advantage of this time last year, when unfortunately my car was hit whilst parked at work.
I was unable to trace the culprit and as result, my insurance claim went down as a “fault” claim, costing me hundreds of pounds in my insurance excess and increased renewal premium. Had I been able to identify the culprit by a dash cam recording the culprit’s number plate, and thereby proving it was their fault, my story may have had a happier and less expensive ending!
The RAC 3000 is also incredibly compact, in fact it’s about the size of a credit card (obviously thicker), but you get the idea.
Two thoughtful “piece of mind” gifts for yourself and loved ones and with the added benefit of our extended Money Back Guarantee for Gifts until the 25th of January!
A silent witness I hope you never need to call upon!
On that note – the RAC 3000 does record sound but I muted the video for music copyright reasons, not my bad language. 😉
Until next time… I hope you enjoy happy, worry-free driving!
