A coverage revelation from Westmore Beauty

Hello! Am I too late to wish you all a happy New Year?

I hope not, because I really do hope that 2018 brings health and happiness to you. The festive season seems such a long time ago now, but spring still feels an age ahead of us too, on the grey drizzly day that I am writing this. I haven’t noticed any light in the sky on my way to work yet, but as I arrive at QVC around half past six and the sun doesn’t rise until around 8am that’s hardly surprising. I do think the afternoons are noticeably longer though, especially on a bright day.

I can’t wait to feel warm sun on my back again, but something I feel a little self conscious about when shorts and swimsuit weather returns are my legs. I don’t mean their shape – I came to terms with that years ago! (And all the Nordic walking and yoga that I do keep them as toned as possible.) No, it’s the purple and red spider veins on my thighs that I don’t like. I’ve always said that I’d never resort to any type of cosmetic surgery, but each year these unsightly marks are worse and each year I wonder whether I might change my mind.

But I’ve found an easy solution that doesn’t involve needles, and yes! It’s available on QVC… see below for my before and after pictures.

Westmore Beauty before and after

Westmore Beauty has arrived from Hollywood and will have its premiere show on January 28th, during our Beauty Weekend. But a couple of items are available already and the one I’m talking about here already has a couple of reviews, both five stars. It’s the Body Coverage Perfector, a camouflage makeup with special effects technology. It is so effective at covering up age spots, tattoos, imperfections and veins like mine, and it has been used on the sets of movies, television and on the red carpet. It helps create a flawless and radiant look to the body, legs, arms, and décolleté quickly and easily. It can last for 24 hours, even if you swim, exercise or dance your way through the day and night.

What makes it different to other camouflage creams is the special formula, using treated pigments in combination with a flexible gel matrix and a proprietary complex of pearls. This gives the Body Coverage Perfector buildable coverage combined with a gorgeous radiance, providing a natural looking glow that is transfer-proof, water-proof and budge-proof for hours.

Obviously it won’t completely hide lumps and bumps but it does disguise them, and it’s incredibly good at giving even colour and a natural look. Great for legs like mine, but also fantastic for a sun damaged décolleté. It’s available in two colours: Natural Radiance or Golden Radiance – if you’re interested, check out more details here.

I’d also just like to let you know that Morning Style will be returning at the end of January and I’ll be letting you in on some of the brands we’ll be featuring next week, so watch this space!

Until then, take care
Kathy x

Happy new year Kathy! Never too late! I wish you the same joy in amongst the daily grind as i just said to Miceal. His blog is lovely. Did you have a nice Christmas? Where were the kids this year? You’re very brave for sharing your spider veins but hey we all have them! Well done and thanks for the tip. Your legs are so slim.
    Take care x

Happy new year Kathy ! I Will look out for this camouflage body makeup in future on Qvc. Now I’m in my mid 40’s, this I feel is my first winter, I haven’t truly enjoyed. Never mind spring will be here before we all know it ! I find alternate days of pear, banana & Kale smoothies & banana, blueberry & raspberry smoothies with coconut Greek yoghurt & almond milk are a great immune system boost & help shake off the winter blues 🙂

Hello Susan! Thanks for your message – Christmas was good this year with all three children at home and two of their partners too. Bex is pregnant so she wanted her final ‘childhood’ Christmas before next year when she’ll be a ‘grown up’!!
Mum was with us too but sadly my Dad died suddenly not long before Christmas so we had plenty of sad moments, but at least we were together.
You can have only the slightest idea about how wonderful Miceal really is, although his lovely blog does tell a little of it. He cares hugely and beautifully for him Mum but also for almost everyone else. I have been on the receiving end of his care and I can tell you, it (and he) is special! Lovely man.
    Hope you’ve settled into January,
    Best wishes

Happy New Year Cathy. Thank you for sharing this with us you are an inspiration and very brave. I probably have on one thigh more red veins showing than skin, why one leg I don’t know…. but your before and after photographs have made me very keen to give this cream ago. It would be lovely to get out my legs instead of hiding them all the time.

    Hi Kathy,
I’m so so sorry to hear about your dad passing away. I never get to watch during the day or even much at night now so I had no idea. You are so dignified the way you just carry on. I admire this in Anne and Miceal too. It’ll be a transition for your mum too. I’m so pleased bex is pregnant though! Wonderful news! And for you becoming a Nana! Again I had no idea. Please pass on congrats. Hope she is keeping ok x
